Fix Youtube app stuck on start TV, Youtube not working on Sony TV, How to solve youtube stuck on TV 

we had this exact problem, and After struggling for days to no accord, i stumbled upon this video, I tired the factory reset on our LG SMART TV and it worked like a charm. Thank you @Learning For Life for the solution. Keep up the good work !!

You are absolutely right. It always does that on both RU-vid and NETFLIX when you use it too much. Our television is a Seiki brand.

I unplugged the TV and then plugged it back in...works fine now...

On my Sony Androud TV an easy solution was simply plugging the tv off and then plugging it back on...didn't need to do any resets.

The problem that we had is the youtube screen was frozed and it says Loading...

My Hisense TV RU-vid App also stopped working - so I unplugged it from the mains for 1 hour and after 1 hour turned it back on and it was working again. To be extra sure I cleared the Cache and also turned off the features that allow you to connect to the TV from a mobile phone. Apart from this problem I'm impressed with the TV's picture, sound and design. Hopefully no more problems with this TV. If the Hisense TV proves to be reliable then I'll recommend it to everyone, if it fails I'll also tell everyone. Lesser known brands like this rely on word of mouth to gain popularity.

Thanks a bunch, going back to factory settings helped! However, when I signed back into my gmail account it froze up again so I had to go the same path (factory reset or whatever it was). Not signed in and it works like it should (am referring to TV as I'm typing this on a pc).

Hi, i have question, i have sharp smart tv 32 inch it is brand new i just bought a month ago there are no problem before but last night accidentally the remote gettin pressed randomly and very fast, accidentally pressed power button, utube ,browser menu etc then it was lagging for a minute and i turned it off, unplugged it for 1 night the next morning i turn on the tv open youtube app, play 1 video then suddenly the screen become black & blank ( but it was on ) for 1-2 minutes , suddenly the tv restarded it self after that it works fine but i worried bcs its weird since its new, is it normal smart tv behave like that? can it affect the hardware or its lifetime? can it affect on performance ( visual/graphic & audio , etc )? what cause it? thanks before

Mine doesn’t do this but when I try to play a video it doesn’t play it’s just stuck on the play button and doesn’t wanna play and video length turns to 0:00/0:00

Go to youtube then setting and then reset app

Don’t don’t need to hard reset the whole television just for RU-vid just going to the settings and then apps look for RU-vid and uninstall any updates and it will work again

I had the same problem. I went to apps setting on TV - cleared data storage but that didn’t resolve the issue for me. But then I unplugged TV and let it cycle and now the app is back to normal. I really didn’t want to erase ALL TV settings. But try unplugging first before you go back to factory settings.

Hmm i have the same problem but different.. RU-vid loads well but when i want to watch a vid it goes on for a few seconds and then it stops can you help? The tv is Vox from 2018

This is what worked for me:Go to "settings" then to "apps" then navigate to the "youtube" app. Pick the "force stop" option which will stop the app. Then pick "open" to reopen the app.

Go to the settings on your t.v. and find the option that allows you to clear the cache/data. If the cache is full, it might prevent youtube from loading videos. Try this: Select [HOME] > [Settings] > [Apps] Select [RU-vid] Select [Clear data] > [OK]

This is a temporary solution. When you turn off your TV and turn on the same problem continues. I have watched almost all videos related to RU-vid get stuck on Android TV and unfortunately, I couldn't find a permanent solution. I have tried unplugging, reset TV, reset RU-vid ,clear cache etc. NO SOLUTION!!!

I commented here around 8 months ago and the solution shown in the video worked for me, but a few days after it had the same problem again, so I did factory settings again but this time it didn't solve the problem. If you use reset factory settings don't eat take everything off your TV like Netflix and that and you have to put it all back on again
