By the way, if you access this switch from front passenger side tire, it is much more easier than accessing from the top (hood side). You don't even have to take off the tire or anything else, it's right there.
Thank you for your time and effort in making this video. A no no-sense comprehensive guide to trouble shoot the GM ac on these suv’s. With your video as a guide, I could trouble shoot and FIX my ac on my GMC Yukon Denali in less than an hour. Thank you very much. 👍👍👍
Well, I hope it's the switch that went bad on my truck. Sure hope there isn't a leak, that would seriously suck. At least I'm in MN so I don't *need* it, but would be nice to have it. It's January. And it's 10 degrees outside. No clue why I am watching videos about this lol. I don't need it for at least another few months lol
Haha, right. Just to let you know that when I changed the switch, I didn't loose gas, it might leak only for a second when you are pulling out or putting back in. Otherwise it should be okay.
Mine has same issue super cold for 2 min then the a.c clutch diss activates then 3-5 min hot air activated again at random already changed that sensor but no luck. I’ve replaced a.c compressor and accumulator as well.
If your freon gas is full (check with guage) then it might be your pressure switch. But i am warning you and everyone here...these kind of switches are non-refundable. So please do your homework before installing the switch.
I had the same problem on my 2010 acadia...replaced compressor and pressure switch...worked for a week and not working now. Any ideas would be appreciated..thx.
If you have symptoms like I had it in my suburban then most probably it's switch. But keep in mind these kind of parts are non-returnable, so you better do your homework before you open the package.
So I have the AC blowing but as I turn it up to blow harder it will blow less and I will leave it in that position as I drive it will blow harder by its self. Also the temp changes.. is this connected to my issue?? Did this happen to you as well
I am not sure but I think you should call Autozone or Advance auto with your year and model, they should be able to tell you.. these kind of switches or electrical parts are non returnable able once you open them. Good luck.
@@thatswhatshesaid6326did anyone ever figure it out I have a 2012 Chevy traverse and I’ve had everything replaced front and rear ac line air compressor twice fuses checked and it’s still blinking and not working
That's a good question and i really don't remember it. I think compressor doesn't kick-in unless it detects freon...sorry can't recall that how was it acting up? If you find out please update here for other people. Thanks
No i did not lose any freon, when I took off switch, It has a pin, it did make a sound of gas coming out only at the last thread of switch, once you take out the switch completely, it stops. Just like when you push the Tire air pressure pin in and air comes out, when you let it go, it stops. Make sure you check your new switch if it comes with O-ring, it it doesn't then you don't want to damage the old O-ring. Also check my PINNED (updated) comments l. 1st comment, it's much easier to access switch from front passenger tire. Read it, you'll understand.
Ok So I have Denali 2007 GMC and I’m not sure if it’s the same problem it blows air and I put Freon and I was cold Like for 1 hr after that got back to hot 🥵 do you think it could be same problem??
our 2010 Tahoe had rear AC and the metal lines wore a hole in them under the back passenger door. Seems to be a common problem with that set up. Dealer wanted $1200 to replace, evacuate air, and recharge system or $600 to cap, evacuate air, and recharge system so it had only front AC. There's a store out of Niles, MI that sells rubber HVAC lines to replace the metal rear line for $3-400 or cap kits for $75.
Depending on your metal/aluminium diameter 1/2" or 3/8" Look at this on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/Dorman-800-642-1-2-Aluminum-Line-Splice-Repair-Kit-/283513379053?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
There's also a repair kit for rubber AC lines and lots of videos on the RU-vid, to be very honest i have replaced one of the AC line and refilled with freon without vacuuming the ac system and it's been 2 years so far AC is working great. Just follow the safety guidelines and you can do it on your own . Here's rubber repair kit www.ebay.com/itm/AC-Line-Repair-Kit-1-2-Repair-AC-Lines-AC-Line-Splice-Repair-Auto-AC-Lines-/183149597955?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
Sorry, I am not sure, but this is Santech part # MT1247. Read my first PINNED comment, it tells the exact location of this pressure sensor, see if it helps.
