You're not going to draft Brady, you're not going to draft Mahomes. You're not even going to draft Jordan Love. You don't build a team from the ground up that needs a hall of fame quarterback to win games for you, it might not ever happen. Dak is mediocre, Dak is slightly better than average. With the right team around him and the right game plan, that's all you need to get a ring.
Packers were in the same boat tbh. They only beat Rams (without Stafford) Lions and Chiefs. Sometimes, it has more to do with when your team starts peaking and when those wins occur.

I been a life long Cowboys fan for over 50 years since they won in 72 against Miami. The Cowboys always has been about glitz and glamour even when Tex Schram was the GM of the Cowboys but one thing I can say about the Cowboys in the 70's they were very talented and they were winning, competing and going to SB'S, even though won but 2, at least they had a chance to win every year including the 90's Cowboys till Jerry ruin everything by firing Johnson and I have despised him every since. You're 100% right about the Cowboys, it's about their brand, their facilities, glitz and glamour, there are not built to win and there not mentally tough but they talk tough when they are winning against weak teams that can't fight back. The Cowboys just don't have a winning culture and a commitment to excellence, it's has always started with Jerry Jones who has creative this COUNTRY CLUB mentality instead of running it like a NFL team.

No expectations = no disappointments when they lay a monster truck wheel sized egg in the playoffs yet again and hop the asses on that flight to Cancun. We’ve seen this play out time and time again with them. That’s why I haven’t had my hopes up when it comes to this team for a very long time. I’m in my early 30s; we’ve been stuck in this loop damn near my entire life thus far. I’ve never been to the stadium and even if I could go, I wouldn’t. Not until they gave me a reason to. Time for no expectations because it equals no disappointments. Time to accept what they’ve shown time and time again; that they’ll make it to the playoffs just to lay a big monster truck wheel sized egg in it & hop on that plane to Cancun. The NFL certainly knows what they're doing with the schedule when it comes to the Dallas cowboys, stacking it with weak teams at the beginning of the year and good teams at the end of the year, letting them get comfortable, setting them up for failure for big TV ratings every single year. As a bonus, let's put them in the playoffs for even bigger ratings and makes the meltdown even bigger. And I refuse to believe Dak Prescott led the league in TD passes because once again all of that is just another reason to make the meltdown more shocking. The same goes for Diggs and Blands INTs. I agree. It's one thing when you played at a high level with other playing at a high level. Back in the day we played football in the field and and won games vs people either smaller,slower,or not as good and dominated but some people were just arrogant and played horrible when actually skilled people came on the field and the game wasn't as easy lol. I can't count how many times I had to cover a player because some dude on my team wasn't as good as he thought lol

Just because you say something negative about another squad don't mean you're trolling. I hated the Staubach Cowboys, and the Aikman Cowboys but respected the hell out of them because you could tell they were legit SB contenders. Since Jimmy Johnson left the culture has gone soft. Cliff Harris, Harvey Martin, Ed Jones, and Jimmy's Cowboys were tough mentally and physically. Can't really say that bout these boys and it's been a long time since you could. When you get dominated in the trenches by good teams (Buffalo, SF) you are not ready. Parsons is easily handled by scheming him out of the game. I love watching exciting games, especially during the playoffs when teams give their absolute best, regardless of their regular season performance. The Cowboys didn't appear as strong as their regular season record suggested. The connection between Dak and CeeDee was just mind boggling during the game. Their defense was non-existent too.......
My phins are exactly like your cowboys. Our problem is our QBs except Dak is better than tua. We need to move on from both. Tua ain’t it nor will ever be and I’ve been saying since before we drafted him.
As a niners fan who enjoyed looking at scoreboard and seeing the Cowboys lose here are my thoughts. 1 The Super Bowl is not played in August. 2 Let your play on the field do the talking. 3 You have a lot of good players but you need is a winning culture to take you over the top. You should bring on Jim Harbaugh. You need someone who can change the culture in Dallas. It should be wins the regular season are nice but the job is not done until you win the Super Bowl. Everything you just went through, I was saying all along. This was the first cowboys playoff game I DID NOT watch since the 90s! That’s right. I did NOT watch it because I knew the hype was just that HYPE! I told my son “We aren’t getting out of the first round regardless of where it’s at.” He didn’t believe me. He believes me now! The Cowboys are a great regular season bully who can beat up on little baby teams. But when they face someone who ain’t scared of them? Someone who comes out swinging?
