This is great thx. However, it was not working for me until I dropped the '@' from the name in TXT and MX in route53, leave the name empty and it should work.

Hi, thank you so much for this video. I was facing the same issue.I follow your video step by step. But i have a question in my Godaddy account i did not see SRV records, i add everything else what you mention(TXT , CNAME, MX record) in aws records but i can't find SRV records can i fix this email receiving issue without this SRV record or is that necessary?

For who can't connect after this tutorial, just leave the record name blank, not @

Hello, i'm sorry to hear that. you may try the following: 1. Wait for 24 hours after updating your DNS record as it might take a while before the changes propagates 2. in your MX Record, instead of setting the value to @, try to replace it with blank or empty value By the way, don't forget to like and subscribe. thank you!

@@techpreppy yeah now it is fixed but one problem when I'm sending the mail it showing a red question mark on the dp

Not sure what do you mean by the red question mark on dp but it might be due to verification of ownership of the domain in gmail: Try adding a TXT Record with this value: v=spf1 include:secureserver.net include:_spf.google.com -all You can watch the video again as a reference. 😉

misguiding, do not put @ signs to the first field when creating records!

Hi Thanks for the vid, i've been trying to set this up today wiithout success. One thing I was a little confused about is the SRV record. You entered [weight] [priority] [port] [target]. However under the valu box aws specifically state it should be [priority] [weight] [port] [target] . Ie the priority and weight are swapped. Which is accurate?

Hi All, We don't need to put @ in the host text box. Just leave it empty for all of these where @ has been entered by the author and it will work

Hi, thanks for this video. Even after adding the above 4 records and waiting for 4 days, still getting the same error on godaddy email. Godaddy team said that the records were not added correctly. Is something else needs to be done.

In mx record, don't put @ in record name... but as you have already created the mx record, so edit it to remove @ and leave it blank...

You can try creating 2 set of MX record. one with @ as record name and the other one with blank or empty record name. hopefully it will solve your error.
