What to do if your keyboard stopped working on Windows 10 PC?
If you’ve recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now your keyboard isn’t working, try these following methods to make your keyboard work again.
FIX 1. Check your USB port is working
FIX 2. Make sure to Turn off Filter Keys
FIX 3. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
FIX 4. Reinstall your keyboard drivers
FIX 5. Update the Keyboard Drivers

Thank you so much! I was watching some video on RU-vid until i noticed that my keyboard wasn’t responding. I was kinda hesitant about turning off my computer thinking “what if the keyboard still doesn’t work and you can’t type in your password” but when I did it it started working again

thanks just used your first tip which was switch to a different USB port and it works but does that mean that usb port doesnt work anymore?

You are my life saver!!! Uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"! Nobody else talks about this! What a stupid feature from creators!! It's the kast thing you want to save power on 🤦‍♀️

hello my problem is that not just that my keyboard don't work properly it's that when i use my keyboard called Zeus K500 it turns off my pc and says "shutdown" or sometimes "locking" and also yes i have windows 10 do you have a fix for that?

All this is great but when windows updates it restarts the machine. Now I can't log on to get to the desktop and can't enter bios to change boot up sequence to restore the machine or start in safe mode. Do you have any suggestions? I've recently paid several thousand pounds on what was a great gaming pc and is now just a heater.

im going to attempt this but i have a different case my keyboard and mouse both stop working and it's at random while playing but it also works while i turn on my computer or restart it while they both stop working tho that still ruins my time having to restart the computer but aight gonna try i guess.. tho i'v tried it before and most steps in the video don't work for me specifically rip edit: didn't work lol
