It worked! Thank you so much. My husband helped me. The screws were the worst. I love this coffee maker and to hear the 5 beeps of death had me worried. It almost went to the trash.
Thanks for the video. A few things i noticed while trying this out. If you have trouble with the screws, mine used T10 security bits not #8. My assembly wouldn't come out easily at all, while moving things around (carefully) to make more room I heard a pop. Inside a little further a mounting bracket had cracked. I'm not sure how you would get around this other than a bunch of disassembly or maybe break the plastic tab off that is in the way, but it didn't seem to affect the operation any. Finally if you have trouble with that seal the pump fits into, attach the seal to the pump housing first, then install it and it will stay in place. Its working and not leaking so all good. I did try another video's suggestion that purged water from where the fill tank sits. Not sure which one was the fix. We have a decent water softener and clean the machine when it says to, but id suggest cleaning it much more often by the looks of the heating chamber on our machine. It was caked with deposits.
Thanks for all the additional info. I suppose they use different screws in different models as most places buy the cheapest parts and the time so a little variation may be the case. So glad to hear yours is working after the cleaning. Thanks for watching!
This would have worked for me but the plastic piece at the bottom dissolved and it can no longer form a seal when reassembled, it worked for 5 years so it's not too bad.
