Nice to know I am not crazy. We have a rig dedicated to gaming, steam, index VR, ect. Bought a new TV and had so much trouble getting the PC to boot, I thought it was the TV. I unplugged the VR headset and gee it worked. Went around on this for a week or two. Good to know why, thank you :)

THANK YOU! I had just determined it was something with the index causing my PC not to boot. It started after I upgraded RAM and was overclocking and finally had it not post and had to reset the bios and that's when everything started. I could only boot the PC once before I had to reset CMOS afterwards to get to boot again. I was going through every RAM setting thinking even tho it waz passing tests maybe there was some instability until finally I let it go stock and realized it was something else. I just wasn't sure why the index was doing it I figured maybe with something with like display driver or something, so thank you so much for this video it was very helpful I've been having to hard reset my PC with the CMOS jumper for the past week to boot everyday 😂

I’ve had something similar but it seems to fuck up my bios and require a reset and multiple restarts before I can post past the mobo logo

Had my PC not booting suddenly with the only change since the last boot that I readjusted the GPU support bracket. I removed and reinserted the GPU and it was booting again. Next day the same problem. Thought I killed the pcie slot and fiddled with the GPU again until it booted. Took me some days to realize that I always plugged in the Index after it successfully booted and that it only won't boot when it was plugged in. Tried your fix but the boot order wasn't the problem. Now after disabling VGA detect in bios it finally boots properly with the Index plugged in. I'm still confused why it started suddenly without me changing anything in the bios but yeah at least this fixed it and I thought it might help others who land here with the same problem.

I've had an issue with my Index causing the PC to give me VGA error post code but then post and boot to windows anyway (slowly), but to a black screen. After several seconds, the monitor will wake up and then it will work fine... This has happened with different GPUs, different motherboards, different CPUs.... I'm really not sure what's going on. Also worth mentioning, this only happens on a hot restart, not if the computer has been completely powered off. Oh, and it's happened with more than 1 power supply as well... Rosewill Prism T case, at this point I've started looking to see if there's any weird USB related shorts... yoooo. 1 month ago, that's about when my pc wouldn't boot for 2 days straight and I couldn't figure it out. I also wasn't able to use my index at all. i Still can't use it for some reason.
