I need your help, I have 7 pin X8 model e-scooter i took out the battery from case and i measured the voltage from battery poles before getting in BMS it shows 42V. but out put shows 0V, so i took small cable and connected battery negative to out put negative. then i got 42V in out put....is that OK ?? This is my first question for you. Second after i installed the battery scooter didn't start or couldn't be on. do you think it is the cause of controller failed ??? I appreciate for your reply.
Should 32V after a charge should be enough for the scooter to turn on? My scooter was very flaky (would turn off/on while riding) for a couple weeks and then just wouldn't turn on at all. Heard popping sound (likely from sparking) when it was shutting down. Replaced the controller and display panel and tried the same battery and initially (first time only) it turned on but then immediately turned off and hasn't been able to turn on since. Voltage output on the battery is 32V. Customer supports says I need to replace the battery because 32V is too low but I don't want to spend $220 only to find that something else is broken. And while this video is very cool, I don't know if I have the confidence to replace battery cells.
You can buy blue drone battery universal charger, open the scooter battery, and charge it by groups of cells, it's like I restore one dead scooter battery, because one of the group was to low
Have u found any solution? I have the same issue with two batteries first the original kept on turning off when riding and then I bought a new one Worked for around 1and a half month and then did the same thing.
@@Luczias I found a purpose, it serves as a battery switch, you need to connect the yellow wire with the positive red + wire to start the battery. When you disassemble the motor controller you can see positive and yellow connectors are connected.
I have a 3 pin connection on my X8 Lithium Battery is very worn. from use. Sometimes it helps to hold the battery firmly in the exact position, to get the Electric Scooter to turn on. Is it possible to change the 3 pin connection on my X8 Lithium Battery? If I cannot change the 3 pin connector, can I repair the present 3 pin connector? Please advise. Thanks
what is the expected voltage of the finished and charged pack? mine shows 31.8v. Also, how do you measure voltage on individual groups if everything is connected together?
I have the same scooter, same battery, battery is showing 29.2V, and the scooter is not working. Is that enough or do i need dissemble the battery pack or it's problem with controller? Thanks for your answer.
how do you determine if the battery has become faulty? I'm not sure if I have a battery problem or motor problem, but when I accelerate it starts beeping and battery level drops to one bar from being fully charged and it's not possible to drive unless I turn it off and back on and then drive slower
you said that you set the throttle up some how so you do not need the starting push roll to get it going ... i have looked for this setting in the manual and online but can not find it; can you give a detail description on how to set this up so you do not need the starting push roll ? ... i want to just push the throttle only to start going ... no push off needed. thank you gordonr
Great job! I have already recell this kind of battery, but after I switched on the battery (yellow wire to ground) I can measure only 31V at the discharge port. Charging working well and on the battery charging port, I can measure 41,2V. What could be the problem? Thanks for your help in advance.
Either from the app if you have the bluetooth version you can find it in settings, otherwise hold both buttons when it's on and go to the "P2" option to turn it on
Very interesting, great job. A bit beyond my time and expertise. Everyone's thoughts on buying another battery, or are they designed so poorly it will keep happening so I should just cut my losses and get a different brand scooter? Seems like there's a lot of these scooters with bad batteries.
With all due respect your best bet is to hammer down your knowledge of 18650 battery sets. Most if not every scooter is going to come with very cheap cells. And most scooters run off 18650 battery sets. Your best bet is to hammer down your knowledge so that you are able to repair these batteries with the best cells that you are able to procure. Cells that are not made in China that are of reputable materials. Otherwise it's a hit and miss game of how long a scooter will last and how well it will perform. Best of luck to you. The technology is amazing.
ty for video..i opened mine bms is bad but no signs of burn or loose wire..it powers off when its on full load..new controller, led display, thumb controller..motor hub is good i tested with 2nd good battery..do you know where to buy or how fix bms?..
Hi @hsamson1103 what do you mean by full load? My scooter runs fine on the bench, but when I ride on it, it powers off after 50-100 meters. Hope you can help.
My guess is it has to do with thermal runaway. The last pack of cells is typically where the energy is drained. This leads to high heat. And if improper precautions are not maintained thermal runaway within these packs is possibly the issue. I am in no way shape or form a professional. Just my two cents.
