Howdy Railroad Tie Spiker , are you retired railroad employee ? I am , worked for Union Pacific as a rail train operator . Loaded & Unloaded & rode the rail trains when they had rail on them , worked in 18 states of the UP System . I was a work equipment mechanic and worked on 99% of the different type machines . Looks like MS needs a tamper and ballast regulator to surface the tracks in that area . Great video .
I didn’t work for the railroad but I worked in the rail yard in at a stone Corey in Apex Nevada. UP was the railroad that serviced us I remember seeing a lot of SP locomotives back in the day.
Nice to see that the track gang still use a proper track level and mark one eyeball to check the diamond. I spent almost 40 years on that job and it's still the best way of examining trackwork for defects in levels. Glad they don't have to shovel pack the ballast though, that was a dreadful job that gave you really sore wrists!
I love the sound of the trains hitting the diamonds! FAB first train. Nice new box cars on train 2. I like the N/S box cars also they are huge! & a monster train! How come the road railers never have graffiti on them? Spike. Great video once again thank you. ❤😊👍
Yes it was… this was footage I took two years ago and was going through the archives and found it. I need to get back to the diamond this summer. Thank you for watching
Vehicle Manufacturers are probably Moving the 800k New 2023 Models which have been Sitting on Large Storage Lots for 6+ months. Stellantis and Ford needs to Stop Making Low Sellers. 🤪👎
