Thank you, this is good to know. Where one rod threads into another, that intersection bent significantly within a year or two. I tried unscrewing it and adding Bondo to the threads and rescrewing it after bending it straight again, to no avail. I wish I had done this instead!
Awesome fix! Yes, they're not cheap, and mine used to spin in the wind like crazy! However, they barely turn in the wind now (the flower parts) Should i oil with WD-40 to get them moving again?
You can clean it with WD40-- however it's more solvent than oil. But use it clean any rust out of it... Then look for a better "oil" or light grease to lubricate the spinner with.
