Few people realize just how important a good helper is. Without Autum's help you would only have completed a half to three quarters of that job Doug. Great video thumbs up.
Man. I can really appreciate your attention to detail, it looks great! Nice to see you make it work in a way other than the standard installation procedure.
Kudos to you and Autumn, Doug As usual, nice work. I see you are a fan of EGO blowers. They rock and I think they are coming out with a 1000 CFM model.
Not that you had the time the way you ended this video but you should have shown cleaning up that borrowed saw. I'm 99% sure you returned it in cleaner condition than you received it. I bought the Hercules 9" grinder for minor concrete cutting like that so I still had a tool to do other fabrication but that Evolution saw could also find other uses. Deck upgrade looks great and will probably outlast you.
Looks great! Such a better choice than the original. Do you have to be concerned with different manufacturing runs for different colors, like asphalt shingles. Thanks for sharing, great craftsman.🇺🇸
- Nice choice….. No comparison between the old fiber class panels vs the beautiful Affinity Stone. You get what you pay for and this product is pricey for sure. Thinking this stone will out last the porch it’s hung on. I’m thinking of using for wainscoting a wall in my garage.
Good product. Right tools. Good planning. Excellent execution with attention to detail. In the end, a beautiful result. To boot, everything is cleaned up and the tool are put away. Working low is never fun. Having a good helper is a luxury. Autumn not only saved you time, she saved you hundreds of ups and downs, each accompanied by the requisite “grunt” 😊
Very timely. My son is going to be adding stone to his house and this will aid him in choosing the correct material (cement vs faux). Thanks Doug and Autumn!
I’ve used gas saws sporadically throughout the years and almost bought one at an auction a couple times, but the last time I needed one i to go to two different rental places and they both quit and wouldn’t restart, the next one I had to borrow from a friend that was using it that day so I had to run around like a headless chicken and used it and hurried it back. I’m sure interested in an electric one.
Nice job Doug. It looks really nice. That stone appears to be a great product. I know it's expensive, but look at how much money you saved by doing it yourself.
Doug excellent video. Autumn, excellent assist for Doug. It cant be stressed enough that the toll it takes on your back having to get up and down repeatly. Very good team effort!!
Really like your channel and content. I was wondering if you have any stickers for sale - would like to add one to my shop. That stone looks really nice on your porch fascia. Stay safe.
You did a great job! There was a lot more behind-the-scenes measurement than I think people would imagine. Did you use a scribe to create shapes that were difficult to measure?
