AirPods and AirPods Pro are the best wireless headphones you can buy, but they aren't perfect. The case gets so scratched that it leaves them looking pretty bad. I finally decided to fix that.

This is actually a great idea! Also I only just came across your channel and I must say your production quality on every aspect is top notch. The audio is clean, great background music choice, mixing is perfect, and the lighting and video quality, b roll...this is seriously perfect. Nicely done.

I think what he/she ment is that he did a met finish and got rod of the glossy plastic finish that got scratched so he used something that gives scratches but at the same time Mets the plastic

I found that if i use scotch brite it doesn’t give a consistent finish cause the scratches aint fine enough 2000 grit sandpaper seems to works way better

I wish you gave us some up close shots. I have some 2000 grit sandpaper and have been thinking about doing this on my AirPods Pro 2 case but I want to see it up close first.

It works well I did it has matte finish now . You can’t tell wether it gets new scratches. I bought mine just one day I took of pocket it had many scratches . You saved me . Thanks a lot great . Keep videos coming n production is awesome

Keep in mind, you won’t be able to use a case afterwards. My brother did this and cases now just slide off. Because the surface of the case becomes smaller they lose the snug fit in the cases. :)

I did it on accident while cleaning my airpods with a nail polisher, and searched how to FIX it, and this is what google recomended me. Now when i look at it it got rid of the scratches.

This actually ended up being a really good idea. I just did it to my AirPods Pro. I love the way it looks now. It’s much more clean looking now. Thanks for the idea!

I used 2000 grit sand paper it did the same job and worked so well and if you want it shiny again then get some fine polisher

Man i just did this to mines and they turned out SPECTACULAR. I used the Scotch Brite Ultra fine pad (code 7448), its the finest grain one as the smaller the grain, the better result.

I don't understand why people don't consider HiFi IEM with BT cable mod. The sound quality can be way way better than airpods, even at a lower price. And you won't need to ditch the earbuds when the battery wears out.

I have been having an issue of the right pod disconnecting . Have tried reset and all but seems to connect for a while but again permanently disconnects. Any ideas or shall I take it to Apple ? It's a first Gen airpod.
