Hey Avery! I don’t know if you knew this but turn on sweat mode to see the energy levels of a dance, I always switch to sweat mode then back to normal just to see the energy level each song takes! (Edited this response because it sounded a bit rude before and I was wanted to make sure it didn’t sound rude, was using voice to speech before)
Thing is, a song being exhausting doesnt mean it's a hard difficulty. They change the difficulty if you change the sorting, so you can see which songs are more exhausting and on the normal sorting you can see which choreo is difficult. There are a lot of songs that are easy or medium, but hard in exhaustion (which is a different catagory). So rating "levitating" as hard would be weird, because the choreo is really easy. It probably is hard on the other sorting. :p
yeah, sweat mode shows you how much effort you need to put into a dance, whereas the default difficulty setting shows you how hard a dance is on a technical level
I think there’s a difference between if a song is hard to get the moves right, or if the song is really exhausting to dance to. That’s what sweat mode is for. Level Up has mostly the same set of moves throughout the song, however we all know that it’s exhausting which is why it is rated “intense” in sweat mode. The normal ratings you see under a song pretty much means how hard or easy it is to understand how to do the moves in that song.
Difficulty & Intensity are two seperate things. Choreography wise, Level Up is not that hard since it repeats a lot and it doesnt have complex trio moves or at all
Yeah but you can find the intensity of a song difficult, therefore it adds to the difficulty. Just like the choreography how much energy you need for the dance also plays a part in how difficult it is.
the difficulty categories aren't based on the exhaustion level as you think, but on the dance difficulty in terms of "is it easy to copy the coaches' moves". so, all of them are correct
The thing I find they get wrong CONSTANTLY is the intensity of dances! I will be full on dying after finishing a dance then go look and it's a "Low" Intensity or I won't even break a sweat and then look and it's "Intense" Intensity 🤦♀️
Human is extremely difficult, and those who think a choreography is easy just because it's slow are obviously not dancers, because then they would understand how hard it is to make slow moves look actually good. The amount of muscle control needed for a proper execution of this dance is insane.
I love that you're making more reaction/opinion type of videos because they bring more variety to the channel and also I personally like listening to others opinions and comparing them to mine (I know you talk a lot about songs on streams but it's nice to have the opinions put into one place). Tbh I think most of the default ratings are fine. I do think level up deserves and adjustment to hard, but not because it requires more effort. More so, just for the floor part. I think that quick movement to the floor and then the thrusts could be tough for a normal person. Not to mention this is a repeated segment that happens more than once.
I remember Just Dance Kids 2014 having a difficulty and sweat (called effort in game) rating. For example, Get Ready to Wiggle by the Wiggles (an absolute bop of a song): difficulty of the moves is 1 while sweat is 3, because it's an upbeat, fast-paced song. On the flip side, Ready or Not by Bridgit Mendler (another absolute bop of a song): difficulty is 3 while sweat is 1. It doesn't take much effort to do the moves, but there's a ton of quick moves you have to do. Especially the bridge of the song. TLDR: I wish Just Dance had the difficulty and sweat rating on all of their songs (or at least in the main series).

I just have to say that in my opinion happier than ever is so easy and for most of the other dances that you changed the rating for is mainly of exhaustion and not difficulty , and there is quite a big difference, no hate , I literally love you
There's a missed opportunity in this video where you could've rerated the Effort of the songs too, rather then just Difficulty, mainly because of all the mentions of how exhausting some of the songs are. Great video still tho, fun as always!
I hate that everyone in their "Fixing all the difficulty categories" videos is ignoring the Effort, and they only focus on the Difficulty. The effort shows how the choreography is exhausting and the Difficulty is there for the technical part of the dance.
I do think Pop/Stars is hard but not an extreme, we can see that when we compare that song with Boombayah’s extreme version for example… And another thing is that Levitating is really easy, although it can be a bit exhausting ‘cause it’s “moderate” in the sweat mode. That’s the difference between the difficulty and the energy level of a song which I think may also be related but not the way you say in this video. Nevertheless I love your videos!
Judas is a B O P. The song is so much fun, the environment, 👏 and the freaking VIBE it gives… amazing. Also I’m a child so my body don’t catch on fire during Sua Cara, and I’m on switch.
There’s an electronic song called Sandstorm in Dance Central 2, and the routine is rated easy. From what I remember, the routine IS easy… you’re just moving your arms at top speed the whole time.

I would give Level up hard but for the moves on the ground and that they are very speed, but not for exhausting beacuse for this we have second rate in the game. Mr. Blue sky is definitely easy, maybe 2 moves are hard, the most of time you do nothing with your body, just something with legs and arms. Mood is medium or hard 'Cause I' m not very good at dancing and this map has something the most difficult thing to me - decided which arm/lags/in which side walk but this is all 3 in the same time. Also camera angles are very confusing.

As much as I love Love Story (Taylor's Version) i think having the lead single of a Taylor Swift album is a little weak and Fearless is an incredible album i think You Belong With Me despite being a single is better option but also i think it would be too similar to Teenage Dream i think The Way I Loved You, Change or Breathe would have been good as well
Easy just means the moves are easier to grasp. It doesnt say anything about the level of cardio. The sweat mode is for that. Of course a dance being exhausting makes it more difficult in a way
