In 2019 i bought a 10ae for $1500 non running with a torn up top and BALD and dry rotted tires. All it took to fix the running was a coil pack and new plugs! i LOVED that car... but life happens i walked away with a 6k profit....
People who aren’t car people will never understand that a “dream car” or a “favorite car” doesn’t always have to be a Lamborghini or a McLaren. Seeing a guy happy with his silly little Japanese sports car makes me happy, because you know he found a car that he’s gonna enjoy driving.
My dream car my whole life has been a Miata, like I mean Lamborghini's are cool and stuff, but they are too expensive to drive. if I had the choice between a 1 of 1 Ferrari or a mint low mile Miata, I'd choose the Miata (or sell the Ferrari and buy a Miata lol)
@@jaj912 Been broke much of my life, bought a Miata (called MX-5 in Australia) two years ago and I'm overjoyed every time I drive it or see it. Drove it from Sydney to Melbourne through winding roads, incredible car - so much fun. Hope you get your dream car one day, they are magnificent and fun machines to own.
This must be my favorite miata restoration video ever. I'm planning to buy an NA in a couple years, and this just motivated me to do it as soon as I'll have a place to put it in ! Thanks a lot for the inspiration, and the video. Good quality content (filming, edition, jokes, musics, rhythm, everything
This video isn't perfect, nor will it be the first or last NA Miata video. But I gotta say, it's nice getting recommended a small channel, with a young guy just chilling with a friend, wrenching on a Miata, making a RU-vid video like it's 2015. This was incredibly refreshing to watch after watching so many Giga-RU-vidrs make extremely polished and frankly- bored videos. Nice job, you got me to sub lol.
Soft top tip, when you replace the soft top. Let the car sit out in the sun. The sun and heat will make the soft top material more stretchy, give it a few hours and drop the top all the way down. Latch it and leave it down for a few weeks, let it get used to its position and then start letting it down. It’ll ease the top in more and help you avoid damaging it.
Yeah probably not the smartest idea putting it on in the winter, but you gotta do what you gotta do, that’s why we backed it outside when the sun was out
Watching someone build and renew my dream car with the same amount of money I'll soon have is actually so amazing. Just makes me realise how possible my dream is.
The previous owwner did a fantastic job painting it! I didn't know it was repainted until you pointed it out. Awesome car. Hope you have loads of fun with it :)
absolutely incredible video. wonderful pacing, editing, and engagement. Would have never guessed you had any less than 10k subs just by watching. Earned a new one here!
I loved the music, the jokes, and the entire process! This was very entertaining to watch. I hope to possess your skills in car fixing and building some day!
Your personality mixed with the way the video was edited made this video one of the most entertaining car videos i've watched in a while. You honestly deserve more attention for this kind of stuff man! Keep these awesome videos coming!
I loved every bit of this. You really remind me of myself when I bought a Miata 8 years ago, totally over the moon with it. Nice to see a video of a guy just loving his new car!
Can't say I didn't giggle multiple times when watching your video. I Love NA Miata thank to my bf's influence, and hope I get to own one myself one day. Would love to see more of your videos about repairing the Miata.
Good job on the top install. When I did mine I left the back nuts loose and let it set for a day so it could stretch. Current project is getting the tune dialed in on my megasquirt.
hey man ive been looking for content like this and i wanna say i finally found what vibe of video i love ! plus my fav music and the MIATTA ill be a daily watcher :) love yall already keep it up !!
Maybe it's the montage music, but it warms my heart to see it get love. I adore the Miata and welcome anything that'll get more of them back on the road
i never really use youtube but its so relaxed just watching this video, background music is perfect and you guys talk just the right amount, not to much and not to less yk 🙂 subscribed just because
I'm in a similar boat! We just bought a 2003 Miata manual for 1k. High mileage at 250k miles but the motor runs like a champ. Really nice interior, brand new top, and of course rust on one of the rocker panels. $1k for any running car is a steal, better yet a really cute one!
Anddd another New England garage channel I will be following forever! I’m just above you in NH. Hoping one day to get on my feet with a nice drift build. Maybe I’ll look back for this comment in 5 years and see where we both are! I got a 1991 Miata in the family that I am trying to get. It has never seen winter and only been garaged… we will see!
