Hey Taylor, some advice from a heavy tech. If them lines are either bit loose (or any future line) tie your new line to your old one or a rope and start pulling. Usually in buses that “trough” holds everything but the lines and electrical shouldn’t be cinched down anywhere. I also have fittings on hand and usually put a male/male fitting to make one big line and then start pulling that way, it won’t be easy but in the world where a customer wouldn’t be happy with the “leave it solution” it usually works! Hopefully you get what I’m putting down. You’ve helped me in the past hopefully I can pass some knowledge🤙🏻

You need to put that geni in a sliding rack for easier service and put the batteries in it too. Terminal blocks and longer wires and extended hoses, could be a fun side quest as well if you gotta run it in the summer you can put it outside and not add unwanted engine heat to the living area gets the noise out too if it’s a bit much. Could have attach the stock hose to new hose with fittings and maybe dragged it through and they’d still be in the stock area up n out of the way and you could have bought new tools to make those type of lines! Also you fave us a shop build series that has been amazing what about a bus rebuild/update video?

being in the mobile hose repair business is can almost guarantee that it’s cable tied along the whole way 😂. but if it wasn’t i would’ve guessed the line t lengths used male male adapters and pull e the new hose through while pulling the old one out.

The harbor freight has a 22ton pneumatic roller jack that would be a great help for lifting the bus, its not the cheapest jack in the world but the "name brand" ones are about $2000 so $350 is a steal

Taylor, for filling oil into tight spaces (differentials, or like you PS reservoir), get yourself one of those $15 hand-held garden sprayers online or at Wally world; the kind you manually pressurize by pumping it up, and the you can cut the hose that goes to the spray wand. You can use it like that, but to cut off the oil flow once full, I add a ball valve to the line. This works good for any oil up to 140W. Better than using those expensive squeeze containers for gear oil.

I would have made the power steering lines in a 10-foot segments with nice fittings. That way if you ever have a power steering line blow and leak again you can just replace that 10 ft segment. That way you don't have to replace all 55 ft

Amazon has hydraulic/ AC hose presses... and kits with fittings for just a couple hundred bucks. I have had more hoses and fitting... mainly fittings... start leaking that pulling stuff apart and going back and forth to a shop... along with, at times, a looongg wait... I bought one. May be something to look into because now an A/C line will leak, and it will be the very first hot day of the year... LOL Good job and good luck.❤

Well one thing I might recommend when doing fluid changes is make an adapter with a shut off valve for the fill ports, Vacuum pump the lines like you do for an A/C system. and stick a tube in the fluid your trying to fill back up. Make fluid changes take the time to change be mostly the time to drain plus a few minutes.

I guess my only question would be, how come you didnt tie the new line to the end of the old line and pulled it through so it was in that covered channel? I guess there is always a possibility of having it being bolted in, but is worth a shot instead of drilling holes into your bus.
