Coming from an engineer and young gear head. I must say well done. I build mostly BMWs at home on the weekend as it is my passion and side jobs never hurt especially when I was in college (I just graduated). Love to see quality work, taking pride in what you have transformed into a properly maintained 335i! So much covered in one video, superb cinematography. Absolutely earned a subscriber out of me! Keep up the good work man!!
You are my hero. Love the video. Everything from the chill music to the chill dog. I am the third owner of a 2012 335i with N55 and doing a lot of maintenance catchup. I just subscribed to your channel. Keep the posts coming. Thanks.
Thanks for the sub! I think you get what The Bimmer Barn is all about! Quality cars, content, and some pup action lol. Wish you best of luck and many miles with your BMW! N55 is a great motor.
First time viewer here. I want to compliment your level honesty to not put this car out there with all the problems it had. I just bought an 07 335i E93 convertible. My dealer was not as reputable. I’m doing every service to this car and then some that is needed at 100,000 miles. I do my own work. I have since I was 15. I’m 57 now. 14:53 Interior was cleaner than yours though thankfully. These cars will soon be classics. I plan to enjoy mine for the next few years and then pass it to my son. He helps work on it.
Would you recommend to someone who is mechanically inclined to flip bmw’s? You make it look so easy. Looking for an honest answer. Doing some research on a side hustle and this niche sounds very interesting and satisfying.
I think I put about 100-200 miles on it while I had it, not many since it wasn't registered until I was done, and by then we sold it to my best friend who's put over 5k miles on it in the few months he owned it!
Appreciate the kind words Matthew! I got the lifts from Home Depot, on sale during black friday! Absolute spine-saver when it comes to working on cars often.
the next owner is getting a great car. i forgot how poorly it ran when you bought it. Awesome series showing that BMWs can be a great project car that wont kill the bank account if you are willing to get your hands dirty. whats next the AWD wagon?
This will sound weird, but is it normal for it to sound like it has a slight knock? I know how dumb that sounds, but every video I see of an N55, They sound like they have a knock to me, But they all seem to be "fine"
I think the microphone picks up motor noises differently than your ears, but they do make some interesting ticks/noises. This car has an N54 but the N55 has a similar design. Thanks for watching!
