I just got the McFarlane DC Man Bat on sale about week ago, and just this morning I picked him up looking at that amazing sculpt they did on him and first thing that hit my mind was, hmmm, wonder what and how “Ken I Make it” would do to make that figure really pop and bring out all the amazing detail it has on it. Then I go on RU-vid this morning and first video on my suggestion was this video of yours. Like was meant to ask this ?. Love my marvel legends, joes, Star Wars, and action force, but def got to give props to some of mcfarlanes figures. Some of them are made and sculpted so well, just shame he doesn’t invest in the time and $ to get all that detail brought out with some paint. Def got Some really well sculpted with tons of detail that can be fixed and made to look, Got Man Bat, Swamp Thing, Killer Croc , Spawns throne…Just to name a few out rt now can find at decent prices if look.. least some ideas if u are looking for some new things to fix and show the world ur awesome work and skill.
When painting red or yellow over black or most colors actually paint it pink the paint it red or yellow. Both are highly transparent colors where as pink covers most stuff and makes both colors pop in just one coat
Nice custom, but I passed on this two pack. I like my Venom without wings and those ugly ass feet. I guess I have to either get Marvel Select Venom or ML Absorbing Man Wave’s Venom.
I love how you did the ice blue/soft blue shading on the white bits, it’s nice and subtle, it’s not overpoweringly obvious that it looks distracting, while giving it enough detail
try using chalk next time for the blue/purple highlights, just be careful to use just a little because it does show up a lot Also I would have made the red parts of the wings matte
Did you get any other 60th anniversary figure, did you get the renew your vows Spidey and Spinneret 2 pack or the the Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man? And if you did are you gonna make videos on them
Fantastic work! I was so inspired by you that I ordered Jim from AliExpress to emulate. I don’t plan on adding his wings, but fill the holes with Green Stuff and painting over them. I have the movie Venom, which is an excellent sculpt. When I got it, I wished they had made him in his classic look, and now we have it.
You made this Venom much better looking. The feet still seem a little wide. I wonder if snipping of the baby and big toe before you started would have helped? Great job.
I love the shoes you made to hide the toes. It’s nice to hide the pins too. The repainting is awesome as it gives a new shiny look to the figure. Great job!
There are so many comic figures I’d love to see you take a crack at. Both versions of Blue Beast, every Iceman figure, every Thing figure, etc. etc. Basically any figure in desperate need of a wash or some touching up. Obviously if the comic figures don’t interest you that’s understandable but I’d love to see you branch out even more.
Great stuff as always but I will say when venom isn't becoming a suit like black Spiderman he has toes that's why I don't worry about that but I can see why it bugs some people.Cheers.
I want to get a classic venom figure that doesn’t have toes and is only a little bit bigger then retro Spider-Man so I can recreate the scene where Peter in his black cloth suit is attacked by venom
What kinda of material did you use to cover the feet with? I wanna experiment with some. I have epoxy sculpt which does have it's moments to touch up minor paint problems. But I'm looking for other stronger suggestions.
Love your channel and as a marvel legends collector myself all I gotta ask is you gotta do more comic figures Ken I fix it videos would love to see some x men stuff
Love what you've done with this one again mate, a very nice upgrade. I would have liked it more if you sculpted and painted the web lines on the wings. Would have really made him stand out, especially if you did the blue highlights aswell :) agree that this is my favourite venom figure, well this and the monster venom baf 😁
Extremely nice, especially the face! I was thinking a light coat of UV resin over the eyes could make them stand out even more against the glossy body.
Some of your tweaks were good, but the blue highlights didn't do it for me. The enclosed feet need more work to be honest - they look quite wide and silly. I think Hasbro left the articulated feet on the figure for stability when posing so I do understand the challenges you faced when trying to customize it but it's not that good if I'm being honest with you.
