Every time I have to deal with tensioning springs and am working by myself something is going to break. It's more fun when a spring being compressed breaks free and goes through my window! Grease was my friend though. I enjoy watching you figure things out with your attitude and natural good looks too!

1000% I used to hate when I would pull that board, and then when I'm done, I realize it was sitting in the middle of the woods. Bought the springs in March...just now put them on ha

Adam, would that not have been easier and safer to pull the cotter pin, loosen the bolt, put on the springs and then tension the spring with a large pipe wrench with one hand and insert the cotter pin with your other hand?

I actually had that thought halfway through. I agree it would have likely been easier, and I will use that method if I have to adjust later. The downfall, I don't currently have a pipe wrench that big! Haha
