You might be asking yourself after paying too much money for these headphones, did Apple just scammed me? Well, it is pretty much a scam when you pay $250 for headphones that don't charge after placing them in the case. This video will show you how to fix that issue since most of us either don't buy the extended warranty or have been using them for more than 30 days before starting to see this problem more commonly.

Maybe some copper conductive tape would be less risky to try.

If the reset does not work…clean both the terminals on the case and the buds with a little isopropyl alcohol and they will work fine.

yeah, it is still working. I wanted to show the soldering process but couldn't hold the phone and get the job done at the same time. It really depends on your soldering skills and you could definitely do a better job than I did if you are more comfortable with soldering.

should I do all the contacts with a little solder ?

the main goal is to get the contacts on the headphones to touch the contacts inside the holder. Using a little solder provides better control so yeah that could work.
