Let's see if it works for me. My issue is, I'm getting this error message at the very end of the reinstall process, when there's just 3 seconds left to finish. EDIT - unfortunately for me the date is already correct, so dunno what to do now.

This did not work. I watched many videos. I still get an error trying to reinstall Sierra. Getting frustrated. I even cleared the NVRAM thing.

Mine after clicking agree it tries to install it for several hours and then it reboots. Do u have a way to fix that?

Didn't work at all for me. Even did the Command-Shift-P-R trick, still nothing. I've pretty much got a bricked MBPro now.

This actual worked. Now the only issue that I'm having is when asked for my apple id & password. It says this is not available at the moment. So wasnt able to install it.

Save to hard disc or the recovery one? They're both locked.

Hi, thanks for the nfo, it was the first time i could go so far in the re installation of El Capitan, after a complete installation it reboot and say that it can not continue because of components missing ?!?! I have a complete installation of El capitan in an external hard disk from my old imac 2008, the mac mini 2009 can start from this and works but i would like to have it on the main HD wh is completely erased where i try to install el capitan and now block at the end, do you have a solution ?

I did this, date was ok but time was wrong, installing macOS sierra, I get an error at the end, last minute of install when almost finished, can not find a solution…..😢

After I do all that it says a required download is missing so it still won't allow me to continue

Hi can someone help, imac 2007 erased drive from Disc Utility in Recovery mode, tried reinstalling OSX El Capitan, not getting any error message, seems to download fine. However when it finishes it just returns to the Recovery Screen and asks me to re-install OSX again. Have tried this 5 times now and am stuck in recovery mode

You didn’t explain it correctly. What is the date 01#31#2021 I think you were putting # between the numbers but you didn’t explain that at all

It wont push through, it says This item is temporarily unavailable. I did repeat the process and still same promt is appearing 😭

In short: go to terminal. Type date. Check it is accurate, if not type data and then the date in the format of ddmmmmhhyyyy and then enter. This didn't need to be 6 minutes long.

What if my time is still correct and it still doesnt work? Any ideas?

if this didn't work for you: set the date to 2017 and turn off wifi. it works.

Just saved my life…I almost threw it out after three years of trying!

My date was already correct when I checked the date in terminal. So this did not fix the issue. Any other suggestions to fix this error message?
