Oh man, my PC had to break down at the most opportune time too. I'm getting Windows blue screen of death after their stupid windows 10 update of death. I swear Windows 10 ever since I first got it, it was created from the very beginning to break down your PC to the point where it didn't work.
I actually collaborated with Ryn in a small way on the "Last Vigil" mod. All I did was write the notes that are scattered about the keep, which help give some background for the Ebony Warrior and also make it seem like he's part of the world at large. Still, it was a lot of fun to be part of a project like that.
I love it when mods like that Western watchtower mod reflect what happens in the questline but also restores itself. Really makes you feel like time passes. Another great video! Hope you continue to make more in the future!
@@alvoltz Aaaah, but you see that's the fun of it! If you ask me it's best to have Bethesda games with a fairly mediocre baseline to work with. It just means it's an even more moldable clay for modders to work with.
The editing here blows most RU-vidrs out of the water the amazing quality that certain mod channels produce such as mern gimlioh and we'll heavy burns right here is actually impressive
The amount of effort you put in is noticed and appreciated Burns! I don't even have a PC, but I dream of a day where I can watch your videos again to completely change my skyrim experience.
I'm going to be honest, you couldn't pay me enough money to play vanilla Skyrim again. Modding on PC lets you make it an entirely different game if you want to, or just fix the things that bug you like I did. You can do as much or as little as you want.
@@dudeistpriest787 I got fallout 4 and a new series xs just to mode after dropping gaming for awhile. I installed just a few graphics, reskins, weapons, and the unofficial patch. Crazily different experience than I remember, but I turned them off to get the achievements and go back through a vanilla playthrough. It was incredibly bland compared to modded.
@@AntonioPerez-wf2lf Dude, tell me about it; FO4 vanilla is just a Fallout-themed looter shooter at best. Only reason I dropped FO4 is because after the fourth week in a row of Bethesda dropping a Creation Club update and breaking every mod in existence I got fed up having to sit and wait for things to get updated, and inevitably there was one mod that wouldn't get an update that I just really didn't want to do without.
is there somewhere i can find the music used in the video? not sure if im just glazing it over in the description or something, absolutely need to add it to my playlists lmao
"Ryn's Literally Everything" is in the mod shopping notes for my next story LO. :D I wish I'd known about his work before I started my current series because these mods are *fantastic.* I guess the upside to waiting is that there will be more of them when I do start the next one.
Amazing selection of mods and great video as always! I never thought about overhauling these areas but now I'm opening MO2 again for the 100th time this week lol
Love these mods not only do they look nice allot of them have extra areas making it possible for different builds such as stealth to be more vaible especially with my load order where I jacked up the difficulty using a custom difficulty mod wounds making fights incredibly deadly if I'm caught out of stealth the chances for me surviving is very low like a proper stealth game so I appreciate the extra pathing in the hostile area mods
Heavy burns has some if the most rewatchable videos around and hes probably the main reason as to why ill never actually gwt round to playing skyrim because the mods he showcases are always top tier
@@reeceyb505 well obviously them to, but RU-vid is the thing that introduced me to mods, without channels like these I'd probs never been introduced it modding for Minecraft
The mods I did find are excellent I don't think I'll be able to play game without them now. For what ever reason I couldn't find Anise's Cabin or the Western Watchtower. I guess they haven't been ported over to XBOX as yet.
I love that new valtheim tower, the only thing i don't like is that there's no way to make it so the toll dialogue is still present, they attack you on sight.
@Heavy Burns This is immaculate, I like Ryn's but it conflicts with too many of my mods unfortunately. I had something I thought to ask. Do you think you could demake Skyrim into looking and functioning like Morrowind? You did a transformation of Skyrim a while ago turning it into Dark Souls. I'm curious if it's possible to achieve such a thing because one it would be amazing and two I would love using the modlist you come up with. Thanks Heavy Burns.
Skyrim has the opposite problem from most games, too many mods. I used to look at new mods on Nexus every week or so, but there's so much chaff it's just to annoying to find the good ones, and then there's getting them to all play nice.
i think it wouldve been cool to see some comparisons. i think for most of us we have these fantastical memories of skyrim, and dont remember how boring the vanilla locations looked. when installing these kinds of mods, seeing a before and after really sells them for me cause it makes me feel like without them my game is missing something
It would be great to see a mod collection that overhauls the general dragon experience, the encounter, combat and maybe quests.. as it is the dragons in skyrim are underwhelming
I have a vanilla plus modlist that I could provide you, if you want it. It's even great for a basis so you can choose your favorite perk tree, combat mod, and animations since I know those are heavily subjective. Oh and you'll almost certainly be getting 60fps since it relies on community shaders.
Hey Heavy burns, I've been messing around with mods for years now. From trying a 350 mod modlist, to having only 5. But I never have any luck with next gen modlists or enbs because I cant run them on my mid pc good. So do you have a mod list that's only about 30-40 mods that Keeps the vanilla feel of nostalgic Skyrim; while improving graphics if you do I would me extremely grateful. Thank you
Skyrim's biggest problem is it's size. It's too small. walk out of a town there's literally a guard next to a bandit camp. Beyond Skyrim is a good start but the size of vanilla Skyrim is just too small. Each hold shod have been the size of Skyrim itself. Say what you want about Valhalla or Hunter Call of the Wild, those games get scale done right. Now imagine a game with Skyrim mechanics and a map the size of GAWD. Whoever manages to accomplish this feat will have a solid winner on their hands.
These are great, but I feel like it takes away from Skyrim's "withering away" theme. I mean all around Skyrim all of the walls are lacking maintenance, the cities are mere shells of their former selves, there's a civil war that's been going on for years, Jarls are at each others throats over politics, the king is dead and the successor is in question. Their beloved God has been outlawed, the Thalmor are capturing citizens and stirring the pot, the Imperials are too focusing their efforts elsewhere and can't help Skyrim or quell the civil war, the Forsworn are taking advantage of this weakness and are trying to retake their ancestral grounds. And of course Dragons are returning from the dead. All after a massive continent-wide war which the Nord's lost. But these mods make Skyrim look fresh again and while it looks epic, it doesn't quite fit for me.
I looked over ryn's mods and they're light weight overhauls which would work for me perfectly since i oriented my current mod list towards vanilla plus and best of all if ou suggested it as result performance doesn't suffer. I am gonna fire skyrim tonight and see if it perfroms as expected because i have some perfromance issues but my modlist is light. If i manage to make my game perform smoothly i'll add all ryn's mods to my game.
So your advertisement at the beginning is supposed to be all for historical accuracy and authenticity yet does not get the WW2 German flags right? Not very historically accurate.
Não sei porque essa besteira todo com o visual de Skyrim. Ele já é perfeito originariamente. Esses mods só deixam o jogo menos Skyrim e mais feio. Único mod que melhora um pouco são os de combate, resto é resto.
Hey, I'm a bit new to mods and was wondering if these overhauls require texture update mods like the ones in the video or could you hypothetically use them with the original graphics
I assume if i download two of the mods overhaul that he has on his profile that I would need to actually start skyrim all over again an start a fresh playthrough or no? bit of a noob here, Wonderful mods so far. Edit I forgot to ask does it work well with JK skyrim the cities overhaul or no?
