Years ago my wife was afraid of my hot rod, I told her it's very easy to drive with a 4000 stall converter. She finally drove it and said it's very easy to drive.... Love the video.... Thanks, Brent
I did this same job on my 5.3/4L60 ls swapped JK! I love the changes but wanted to ask you… yall had this jeep tuned before and a lot of people commented about low take off power. Citing torque management/tuning. I’m still watching the video so maybe you talk about it but I have the same issue! My Jeep feels like it hits a 100 shot of nitrous at 3500+ rpm! Low end it’s kind of a dog! 4:88s, Texas speed cam, 2600 stall TCI. It should melt the tires but it doesn’t!!
This shows vehicle weight and final gearing have a lot do with actual stall speed. That stock converter was better suited for a full size truck with taller gears. Back in the day, my co-worker put a factory S10 converter in his '96 Impala SS. It was a popular mod for those cars for more stall speed without being too costly.
The new style rear main is so much easier than the old designs (60's and 70's). A lot of people don't realize the importance of a torque wrench on this application to prevent distorting the crank, which will cause a leak on a perfectly good seal. I'm new to your channel but I'm sure you have a good transmission cooler, since that higher stall speed will generate more heat. Nice Jeeps.

I just bought my first TJ (2006) and I need to replace the top. Are there any soft tops with enough insulation to keep the coldness from the ac in? I live in Hawaii so it’s extremely hot and my current soft top doesn’t hold the cold air at all.

Remind me again, what engine is in the race Jeep? I know Cassy's LJ has the LS 5.3 and Ben's JK has the 6.4 HEMI, but can't remember what y'all put in the race Jeep!!!
In theory yes. But it’s usually more than fine with a trans cooler. We wheeled all weekend a few weeks back in 90* and trans stayed at 180. No issues with heat at all.
