Most 458 electrical issues that show up after startup may be related to the battery. Mine had similar issues and the Ferrari dealership said the battery was “fine, checks out”, but it was 2 years old and 458’s wear down lead acid batteries in about 2 years. I replaced mine and all electrical faults went away. Just like clockwork 2 years after that saw electrical issues again, replaced the battery and all is good, that was 9 months ago.
For what this thing has been through, it’s held up pretty well! And it might be more fun than a pristine Ferrari since you can beat on it without worrying about racking up miles or getting stone chips.
@@freddaniali good news, I found a 2018 dodge grand caravan GT locally and bought it last week...Granite paint looks like Grigio Silverstone w/black leather interior w_red stitching....Josh's f430 paint w/yellow calipers looks amazing that i decided to do the same, still working on plans for the bench seating...

Is the flywheel always exposed like that or is a cover plate missing? I realize the bottom panel will cover it, but is there a separate plate? Not daily drive a Ferrari? If I owned one I'd drive the hell out of it, even a low mileage one. To me leaving it in the garage is a waste.
Not knowing where u live, but there are affordable driving experiences. I did one in a 360 that cost only $99!!! It was in a local college parking lot. I live in Los Angeles, so u may need to road trip it.
@@normalguysupercar OBD port is common but so is splicing into wiring in front bumper assembly and in rear quarters as well. there are alot of possibilities for hiding them. You can usually find them by starting the car and testing lights in the front and the back for loss on wires for power draw from whatever is added. There are other constant power wires available but those are well known and easiest to access. Best of luck to you!
Ferrari's can go this far... people just don't do it. There are several 308s roaming with well over 100k miles. Atrophy and abuse are the real problem... My old vette, a 1992 LT1/6spd, is at 230k miles!! My current C6, LS2/6spd, has 65k trouble free miles. Impressive car.
