Hi and welcome to Little Bird Blythe! I recently uploaded an unboxing of a very cute custom blythe doll with teeth, but unfortunately her eye mechanism wasn't working correctly. So I have opened her up to see what the problem was and luckily it was pretty easy to fix. I hope you enjoy the video and are happy to hear the new girl now works just fine.

If you wanted to use the jointed body so it isn't a waste, maybe you could try sanding down the neck peg so that it doesn't stick up so high and interfere with the eye mechanism. I just came across your channel and have been watching your videos while i knit blythe hats. I just have to say that I love your collection and can't wait to see more videos from you.

Ooh, I love knitted blythe doll hats!! Glad you are enjoying the videos. I may have a play with the body and see if it will be of use in the future. I haven't seen one with a neck like this before and you are right it would be a shame to waste it. xxx

This was brilliant thanks, I’d put my first stock girl back together after giving her sleepy eye strings and I’d tried changing her body. But her eyes wouldn’t stay open. Finding this solved it easily, I put her back on her original body and she works perfectly. Is there anything you can do with the larger neck so it doesn’t obstruct the eye mech?

Kay Jay hi, I’m pleased to hear you were able to sort your doll out! I have done anything with the old body from this doll yet, I may have even thrown it actually as I’ve been decluttering a bit, however I vaguely remember seeing a RU-vid notification about a video that may help. I can’t remember who did the video but it was something about putting the head higher on the neck which in theory could sort out the issue. I’ll have a look through the channels I follow and see if I can find it. I’ll let you know if I do! Xxx

The Licca body links much better on her. That’s a shameful you had to fix her though. Customizers should make sure the eyes work properly before selling their dolls.

Hi. Yes I really like the licca body too, I think I am going to have to get a couple more of them in for other dolls now, although I have to make sure I get the right height as I made the mistake of buying a tall one a while back that was not the look I was after so I resold it. I bought the blythe doll in the video knowing that the eyes weren't working properly, the seller did tell me, it wasn't her fault and I got a bargain so I was really pleased. I suppose things can shift around in the head after they have been customised so the customiser may not have known either. I thought I would be able to fix it and the doll face was so pretty that I just had to get her. I figured I could always put a new eye mechanism in as it was unlikely to be the faceplate that was at fault. It did surprise me that it was the body that caused the problem though, I've not come across one like that before, have you? xxx

my eyemechanism does't work and I don''t know why: I assembled my Blythe head twice but still it doesn't work. It works only once and then no sound anymore. He can only close his eyes and look on the right...

Hi Candee Dolls! Double check that the t bar is on the right way around. If the tbar is on upside down that can cause problems. XXX
