@@JlG2 he didn’t ruin the figure. If you watched the video, you would have noticed that he didn’t have the set. the alternate pieces he used were probably the best. You are acting like he has the figure.
Originally I was thinking of getting the Inquisitors ship, but now I’m actually thinking of getting the Vader Obi-Wan duel. Just because I think that’s The cheapest way to get Vader with arm printing at the moment.
@@100Creed you tellin me the scene with Darth Vader burning Obi-wan alive makes a better 8+ play set over being an 18+ desk piece diorama? under the terms its a kids toy XD
Such an outstanding diorama set man! love the environment with the colours you have used there, absolut nailed it. also the lights absolutly finish the moc. amazing job :D
Looks really good! It really does fix the set in my opinion. One small suggestion, though. I think a wall, like a bunch of dark tan slopes put together, or a small archway that looks like something from a Tatooine building would just fill in the gap behind the figs. Just a suggestion.
I think that your model will look way better if you went the extra extra mile and color the end part of the cheek bones in sliver sharpie like it is in the movies and show then it would really pop
Hey man just FIY, the transparant triangular connector piece you used on Doc ock arms are now in Light bluish gray. they were recently recolored in the Jazz club set from Ideas
Starting to really only want to buy the Lego Star Wars Dioramas. Picked up the meditation chamber recently and want the degobah set next. I love how they look and really wish this set was like those. I love Lego, but want sets that look more adult. If that makes sense. You’ve done a better job than what Lego did.
I recently got the Imperial Probe Droid set, and I think it’s a great little desk piece. The legs are a little wobbly, but I was able to pick the set up 20% off so I think $40 USD was fair for a nice display model.
I also did a moc of this scene. But instead of the fire scene, I did the duel they had earlier. I made the base sideways, then added a plate on top using snot pieces. The build is mostly dark tan, but I used light gray for some crates and dark blueish gray for extra detail. I still don’t have the mini figures, so I plan on getting the set purely for the figs, and using the pieces for other builds.
They should have named the set: "How to burn Obi-Wan Kenobi" instead. Since Lego has given into the creation of HP Deathly Hallows sets, there is no holding back anymore. Dark. :D
These are my favorite kind of builds! When I heard the rumors of a diorama set of obi wan and Vader I was really wanting something like this, when I saw what was actually coming out I was really disappointed. Your Star Wars dioramas have been some of you best projects imo
!! SPOILERS FOR KENOBI FINALE !! Lego should’ve waited til episode 6 aired so they could make a set based on that duel instead of this one. It’s a better scene all around and the landscape would make for a much more interesting build
Love your video style and I think your build really captured the scene a lot better than the play set LEGO made. I have the exact same views on the Kenobi series and the fact that LEGO chose to make such an intense (fairly adult scene) a play set. Well done and keep ‘em coming 💪
Really, that set Lego made is disapointing. It's hard to believe modern Lego designed that. It looks like something a kid made in a Lego digital designer, told his dad, and he patted him on the head and said. "Looks great, son!" I mean really? I dunno, maybe it looks just like the scene it's referencing but, goh! Nice work on yours.
I dont hate the new set, definitely isn't a great design, but I don't really agree with the "overpriced" argument tbh. 3 new figures, all exclusive to the set, and the only reused figure is the cheapest way to get a Darth Vader figure we have right now (and it's a figure with arm printing so that makes it better than the next cheapest Darth Vader set). It's not the greatest lego set nor the best value but the arguments I've been seeing that this set should be 20 bucks or it's the worst lego set ever made are insane to me.
Your diorama is definitely great, but you didn't really "fix" LEGO's set, since the set is unreleased at the moment. I thought this video was going to be adding on to LEGO's build and making it less bland. Still, good video.
I was thinking if you can make a diorama lego set for Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker for the Rey vs kylo ren on the wreckage of the death star since LEGO didn't make one for the scene.
I feel like Lego should make a Betrayal on Cloud City style set, where you have multiple smaller builds representing different scenes from OWK, all together to make an amazing set. Or just make a big version of the original set for the final duel between Vader and Obi Wan before ANH. In this idea for the duel between enemies, they could give Vader 2 different helmets: 1 being the current helmet but with crimson eyes, and the other being the damaged helmet with the light slash on the back and a large chunk slashed out, to reveal the face of Anakin Skywalker.
Simple, throw it in the bin along with the show and create a detailed set of the mustafar fight (don't like the prequels that much but it would be better).
They should’ve done the fight in episode 6. (SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 6) Even if it was still a somewhat lackluster terrain the rocks were awesome and you could’ve had the part where obi wan had the rocks suspended in the air with clear rods before he hit Vader with them and had Vader laying against a rock
