@Fitz the dragon yep as I like to say (as a fellow North Carolinian) North Carolina is the best Carolina and yes South Carolina is very different to North Carolina. South Carolina is more southern and North Carolina is like a gateway to the south with a mix of northerners and southerners. (Also sorry to offend any South Carolinians I still love South Carolina’s history and beaches!)

As a Michigander, When Ohio and MY State went to war, Michigan couldn’t become a state until the Toledo strip went to Ohio. So in return we got the Upper Peninsula. That’s why we have it

Michigan has the upper peninsula because of water and I recommend you watch How the states got their shapes for more explanation but the main reason is because of the Toledo strip in Ohio.

For those who are unaware, the reason that Missouri has a “bootheel” (the part going into Arkansas) is because of John Hardeman Walker. During the statehood process of Arkansas, Walker’s land was supposed to be given away from Missouri. Walker preferred the existing state laws of Missouri to the proposed laws of Arkansas, and asked the federal government if his land (the ENTIRE bootheel) could remain in Missouri. The government said yes.

The only thing is I like when borders are stuff like oceans, lakes, rivers, mountains, etc. But you can't see any of that on this particular map so a lot of the lines are just random lol. But otherwise it seems good.

I noticed one mistake with you keeping river borders, which is that the border between Vermont and New Hampshire is formed by the Connecticut River. If it were up to me, I would have either left Vermont and New Hampshire the way they were or given Vermont to New York, which was actually a part of New York at one point. Other than that, I liked the video and you did a great job on it. :)
