@@Alexaq268 it lets you keep on track when dread is going to spawn* it’s kinda useful to know how much time you have before dread is going to spawn like the second figure generator room in mines since mines doesnt have any clocks, but like its still kinda useless for dread, idk why you would want to know “dread is gonna spawn in 45 minutes in the nest, i should hurry”
@@Alexaq268 it’s the most accurate timer on dread because the grandfather clocks and regular clocks have a small delay, the clock item is on point for dread besides finding out which rooms can and cannot spawn dread, the clock isn’t anything crazy unfortunately
That would be nice, but it doesn’t make sense. Grumbles are predators I think, and they also protect their nest, so if they heard a loud noise they would probably go to it to identify if it is a threat to the nest or prey.
Maybe the alarm clock could alert the grumbles then the grumbles go towards the clock and run it over because of how heavy the grumbles are and break it.
@@HollowTree5i wasn’t listening to the video but it could also 1: attract grumbles and make them slower when they’re coming and for 1 minute while the grumbles are recovering they are gonna be slow if you use light that slows them down they will completely stop for 3 seconds and if you turn while they’re stunned then they will lose you and go a random path 2: a grumble might tunnel underground and then come where the clock is and destroy it with their teeth if you go above them when they’re underground they’ll grab you and pull you inside and eat you (you can see where it is where there is rumbling effects on the ground) 3: it could send every grumble to the clock and the closer they get the slower they get so if a grumble sees you while it goes for the clock and it chases you you can go to the clock and they will be slowed, if a grumble touches it with tentacles or body then they will grab it and use another tentacle to smash it then rub their hands to get the pieces out of their hands afterward they will return back to normal speed P.S: for 2 you have to crouch during their underground time or they will hear you and even if you are crouching but they come under you they will still hear you anyways and take you and after they take you they continue
I actually use the clock alot in door 100. Put it on the floor before pulling the lever and then walk straight then right. Hide behind those metal things and you'll avoid the minigame
The minigame has been removed when the floor 2 came out and also, i don't use the closet in door 100, i run and then crawl into a room. Probably you din't encounter any difficult moment in door 50 to hide. Its removed because LSplash wanted to remake it from scratch, and had to eliminate it from the game.
I had an idea to make the alarm clock op in the nest: When you use it, any Grumles nearby will freeze in place and cover their ears with their tentacles, giving you time to sneak past them, but it will only slow down the queen. Eventually, a grumble will send out a giggle to destroy the clock and get it to stop ringing.
You want sense in a game where we are in a hotel full of creatures trying to kill us(and can kill eachother as seen with figure:dupe, gloombats and giggle Seek:grumble)opening doors to try to find a safe place to stay and then we go to a freaking castle after mines? And other things im tired to think of or don't remember
@@ixpaique all the things you mentioned are required parts of the game lol, also not impossible for a mine to be located below a castle. a clock being in such a random place like a mine especially in a place with entities much larger than you roaming around.
However grumbles are like the opposite of figure Figure is blind but has good hearing Grumbles are either deaf or have bad hearing, but can see from far So whatever noise you do they'll ignore it
I think Figure is the oposite of Seek, Seek cant hear (i think), has alot of eyes, and his gameplay is frenetic, while figure has a more stealthy gameplay.
One time me and my friend were doing backdoor-floor 2, my friend would’ve died to the figure if i hadn’t used the alarm clock. And after that, we beat floor 2
I have another idea for the alarm clock for the grumbles. Here it is: Once your getting chased by one, you can place the clock on the ground, then the grumble will hear it and once it gets close to it, it will play an animation of it looking down at it, picking it up then shoving it in it’s mouth. It will crunch on it (meanwhile destroying it) It would close its eyes and stay still for 10 seconds, then swallow it, open their eyes and turn around then go away.
Im pretty devs relized the way of obtaining light possessed items shouldn't be just finding them randomly or buying it from Jeff and that's why they changed candle so my guess is some of ghe other items will get light upgrades Plus devs probably added the clock because they thought that with the new changes to the figure library would need something to counter that Side note: clock can also be used to keep track of dread which is kinda useful especially than you can carry it with yourself and there are no clocks in the mines
4:50 maybe it should have a curious light glow and when you pick it up text shows and says, "This alarm clock feels heavier than usual..." if you find it in the rooms or backdoor, and if you bring it from the rooms or backdoor to the hotel or mines, it will instead say, "This alarm clockfeel normal again..."
That’s cool, and makes sense too, since curious light is the one who made the levers, so it would make sense that the alarm clocks would add time because of curious light! It should probably only add 15 or 30 seconds though so it’s not to over powered.
3:27 I love this idea. I think a giggle destroying the clock is great, it’s almost like he is saying “HEY I HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW, BE QUIET.” This becomes war if this doesn’t get added in floor 2+
Why are people so obsessed? with adding extra use to this thing, literally this diesnt make sense as we dont know if grumbles can even hear as they use sight, and also it is only found in door 50 to help with the ai changes, not everything needs to be useful all game honestly, the alarm clock is perfect as is
@@egbertsgf931 literally I have seen DOZENS of people complain about this item, its the ONLY thing they talk about when bringing it up it is FINE as is, believe you me they ARE obsessed, I see it all the time
exactly, i think the fact that the only place you find the clock is right before and then during the first figure encounter of the entire game is supposed to convey that.. you're supposed to use it for figure. It's not supposed to be useful outside of figure encounters.. who cares if its not? you're clearly supposed to either use both clocks in the library, or use one in the library and then one in the electrical room
I had an idea: If you put the alarm clock in the Rift, It'll transform in a Time Clock (Similar to Possessed Candle). The Time Clock could use the power of Guiding Light to slow down time for 10 seconds before It stops working. Idk If this is fair, but just an idea I had
Me: **has all DOORS badges** Also me: **places clock and starts crouching to somewhere** Figure: **screams and runs to the clock and breaks it** Also Figure: **instantly runs straight at me and kills me**
My ideas: 1. Seek trips over the alarm clock and turns into goop when placed, 2 second stun 2. Scares away gloombats 3. Rarest item to spawn in a room 4. Node entities will go towards it, temporarily disabling their hitbox
we also need a lockpick-like item for floor 2, maybe a gate remote? same for skele-key. and also, shears need more uses on floor 1, but since having vines in the hotel doesn't make much sense, i think there should be lots of vines blocking the path to the door, and you can cut them to progress faster, or go around the vines if you wanna save the shears for floor 2.
ye shears should get more uses in floor 1 like before floor 2, there was a vined door on door 99 and was supposed to be sheared but it got replaced by a big gate after the update
The lockpicks in the mines could be used in the generators when you find the fuses breaking the system and opening the gate instantly when you use them.
They shoudl make rework tablet which got removed here is idea Nr 1 .needs baterie Nr 2 .gives you night vision Nr 3 .its power it 200 Nr 4 .your idea Ig Nr 5 .rare item in floor 2 Nr 6 . Can be bough in floor 2 jeff shop for 400 money
In the back door, I think the alarm clock should disturb Curious Light so that it freezes the time for maybe 30 seconds. But after that, it should emit a sound that represents its gears grinding and seizing, rendering it unusable. It should also have the ability to be picked up and deactivated before this use time ends, but it will have a durability meter upon doing this, which will reflect how much of the clock’s usetime has been depleted. Upon placing the clock again, it will seize quicker after doing so because its durability was previously depleted, and it will deplete its remaining durability before seizing.
4:32 Don't worry, I share this same problem lol at times levers just straight up don't spawn for me at all, took me a bit too long to beat the backdoor after The Hunt because of Haste RNG
Imo if they add these features they should add something I've suggested before I think they should add "Mini-nests" after The Nest, only like 1-3 Grumbles and 1-2 anchors and also not being NEARLY as big. I've seen a couple people complain that there us no difficulty spike between pre-Nest and post-nest so this would fix that. Obviously they willonly appear like 2-3 times on average, not enough to be stupid but not so little that it's obsolite. Grumble is used ONCE during actual gameplay despite being one of only 3 entities that are confirmed to be an entire species. It feels very under-used especially because other than the Queen Grumble I don't think they're ever coming back. You're saying what makes it bad is that it only helpful in 4 rooms maximum, however you've only added 1 more room plus an almost deserted sub-floor. This would give it many more uses (although it might need a chance to spawn in other rooms/mini-nests)
to reiterate, i feel like it would be better if the alarm clock would be a sort of "anti-setpiece" item, where it's not just used for figure/grumble, but all 50/100 boss. It'd make it so that you're kind of wasting an item slot for most of the run, but would potentially save lives and be a massive help when the time comes. like, what if it could also lure a few seek worms or hands during its final encounter, or help against some other future boss?
@@TheRealTaesa theres so much going on in the nest, even without the player the noise of other grumbles, the focus to pick a direction to go, defending the nest, the threat of seek the grumbles have so much on their mind that a small door opening isnt going to set them off, which makes sense
I thought of a theory when i saw your video about princess giggles, it could be that seek infected only princess giggless and that's why they aren't seen in the game and schreeches have 6 tentacles, and the grumbles tried making more princess giggles but seek infected them
to expand on the video some more: the backdoor mechanic concept for the clock could be reworked a bit perhaps in door -51 (i think?) where you spawn for backdoors, specifically the curious light rift can spawn there if you have one active in the backdoors you can swap items instead of one use since curious light has more power there, but the idea is when you put the clock into curious rift, it will possess it ⏰ possessed clock: when first possessed, it has 0 time each lever you pull with the clock in your inventory will add 10 seconds to the clock, the limit the clock can hold could be 45 seconds to activate clock’s stored time, click/tap button (mobile) and the clock could play a sick animation giving you more time after use for clock, the clock resets back to 0, and maybe could go as far back as -15 seconds (to balance it a bit) (clock in 🏨HOTEL + ⛏️MINES) once destroyed, it could rebuild itself once and when destroyed again, it stays destroyed and gets un-possessed (MAYBE, this idea kinda sucks now that i think about it) clock in 🗄️ rooms kinda pointless too btw bringing crucifix and possessed candle into backdoors with rift: “(item) feels lighter than normal” like in rooms the nest concept was pretty good but it felt like it was a bit too complicated, and giggle emerging from the ground was cool until you consider the clock being on a wooden/rock floor the 🕸️NEST: /!\ /!\ /!\ grumbles will go to the clock like figure and destroy it, if the clock cannot be reached from grumbles, it will have no affect to them and they will ignore it
Idea: so what if clock cloud be simmilar to possesed candle once you put clock in the yellow rift it can stop time for 15/10/5 seconds so it wont be so op but also give you time to escape from grumbles the name cloud be: Possesed clock/starlight clock/curious clock After the time stops it overheats and explodes dealing 10 damage if player is too close
This video is screaming “I can’t beat the back door and door fifty and need help” the alarm clock should just distract haste if you wanna add it that much
I have an idea for a video , the fact that screech and gigles can teleport cuz when screech spawn while you climb a ladder , screech disappears with a small animation and it’s the same with the giggles after attacking you, they just teleport away. Also i wanted to clarify that seek isn’t really in a war with the grumbles . My theory is that seek seen that the grumbles ( especially the queen ) are very fast , big , strong and can even dig in the mines to patrol in . Well seek seen that and tried to corrupt them by firstly corrupt a giggle so it will grow up to a grumble but unfortunaly their growth stops because of corruption . But now he tries to corrupt the queen but with the others grumbles protecting her and herself beeing too strong for him he couldn’t corrupted them so he sent screeches but they all died . At the end of the game, he takes the queen from behind and finally corrupts her. now he is one step away from achieve his whatever plan but first he needs to corrupt all the entities and especially figure
I also think that every screeches are princess gigles so that’s why they have more tentacles then normal gigles . It’s also more logic cuz if it’s true , we know that seek only want the queen power
I think it would be cool if when you put it in the rift it would become possessed and when it starts ringing it slows down everything except players for a minute while emitting a loud noise that drives away grumbles and stuns giggles for a minute before shattering. I really like the idea of a giggle crawling out of the ground to destroy the clock in the nest though.
Good way to balance alarm clock in the nest is making it attract grumbles in logical way. Grumbles will go to the sound and then if it cant be destroyed just go away and not reacting on it. Only those grumbles who reacted on it are unbaitable on alarm clock.
How about a new item suggestion (for figure): A speaker and some headphones. To use it, you put on the headphones to block the noise from the speakers, and then you turn on the speakers. It'll play a noise so loud that it'll deafen the figure for one minute. You can only use the item once.
The clock idea for the backdoors is good, but the idea for the nest seems a bit dumb. I mean, what if the grumbles just crush it on accident? They’re not as sound sensitive as figure. Plus, we already have a counterish thing. The bulklight
I think another decent use for it would be stalling dam seek, once it rings it will stun all threats like the hand or the others, eventually a hand will go over and smash it. But if it isn’t in the goop radius, it will not work.
Maybe the alarm clock could alert the grumbles then the grumbles go towards the clock and run it over because of how heavy the grumbles are and break it.
The clocks are just to distract figure and be a one time use item, so its basically NOT useless but the only thing making it useless is that it has a 10 second timer before it goes off, and it has no additional purpose other than to fill ur inventory and is only applicable to the figure, nothing else. (Thats my thoughts, let me know yours!)
actually kinda peak, the backdoor seemed kinda weird, ig it would force a blitz spawn but give u extra time. the 150 idea was cool tho, also i feel like changing it would be weird, it should just be kept how it is, and with grumbles being able to just eat it somehow and it would make 150 better and funner by removing grumble camping.
I think that it should also not a take an inventory slot because it takes up one if you want to bring to 100, even with it’s limited use (as in like keys/fuses, so you’d still have 6 other items)
Kinda disagree, instead i think we should have a new item for grumble something that messes with there vision. Like a camera item that stuns the grumbles for 5-10 secs
Idea for fixing the clock: When putting the clock inside the rift, it will turn into a possesed clock, which when used, after ticking down for 1.5 seconds, slows down entities nearby, with rush and ambush being slowed down to 0.1x and any other entities being slowed down by 0.25x, after being used, it will be able to be picked up by the player, but it will return to be a normal clock. 10 studs radius of slowdown, will be broken if ambush or rush make direct contact, and only has a duration of 4 seconds. Visuals: A blue clock with guiding particles spewing out from the top, and the hands fluxuating from going 2x speed to 0.25x speed. When placed it will emit a orb with forcefield material, signaling the radius it catches entities in. When its timer ends, it will cause a shining effect then return to a normal clock. TLDR: Possesed clock that when placed in rift will slow down entities nearby then turn back to a normal clock after being used.
I have a few alarm clock ideas. No1: dread lure. Since it is a clock that can be changed it would be cool if once placed and turned on, it’ll start a countdown for dread, or perhaps if dread had a bigger role, you could turn back time and counter against dread. Though I would make dread invincible against crucifixes then. No2: decoy. As you mentioned the idea of it luring blitz away, what if once you placed it down in hotel, mines, or backdoor, it would attract certain entities like rush ambush or blitz. Pausing them in the process of destroying that clock No3: dupe detector. Weird idea but what if you could set a clock near a dupe if you weren’t sure which one was dupe, and he would open the door, grab the clock and close the door, being annoyed by or tricked by the clock
i think instead of slowing down them, the clock could catch their atention, making the grumbles near it to crawl to where the clock is, unless they are seeing you, if they are chasing you then it will just make them stop for 3 seconds like if they are deciding where to go, if the bulklight is being used on them they will go to the clock, and there should be more than one clock at the nest, but not that many, like, 3, it isnt really overpowered but it is a good use. so now, the backdoor suggestion kinda of sucks, since the main thing of the backdoor, is the time, if this was added, then the backdoors should be bigger, or it would be really easy, since you could just wait for the time to run out and then use the clock and then enter the locker, you also didnt said how much time it adds, if it is like just 10 seconds, then blitz would already waste a lot of that time my suggestion for the backdoor is that the clock will ring in your hand if there is a lever in the room, it will not show where. It would only work once per clock
Tbh in the backdoor the alarm clock should be shown as another time labeller so that you know if you are low on time the clock starts ringing know about other time labellers
btw, the clock does not last forever. once i managed to get figure stuck somehow and it couldnt move as it was charging towards the clock but after a while the clock stopped and figure returned to normal
I don’t know if you know this but after the alarm clock goes off figure destroys it and then starts chasing the player no matter how far away they are and every time I use it he somehow instantly chases me and kills me.
Wait…wdym buffer for backroom? There IS a buffer for backroom in the fact that haste doesn’t instantly kill you and, with some luck you can run into a room, find a lever and save yourself
@@blackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk no I mean why isn’t there any giggles inside of the nest because if there are giggles outside the nest why aren’t there any inside?
respectfully, the nest concept is ass since there’s so much going on in the nest, opening doors, the anchors beeping, grumbles laughing / grumbling literally just moving through the mineshaft it feels like a simple clock shouldn’t be able to get the attention of a grumble with so much going on, Back to the nest, the clock feels like flavor to the game Also the backdoor is good I think a fix would be like a user said instead of luring the grumbles make them go away Ig a in lore explanation is they think it’s seek or figure
Love your content, but that grumble idea is stupid. You said that the clock could infinitely ring if put somewhere were grumbles couldn’t access, but right before that you literally said it stops ringing on its own. What would make better sense is that when you put down the clock, grumbles would be instantly attract to the area, and if you decide to stay and try to pick the clock back up, you’ll basically be cornered by grumbles. Thus, leaving it behind is the better idea, and after that a giggle could come destroy it like you said.
I think setting off the clock in the Mines should cause a cave-in, as caves are very sensitive to sound in real life. This cave-in effect happens whenever there are earthquakes. This is kind of two different ideas but I want to talk about them both anyway. First, for the clock. You know how there’s boulders that fall in the Caverns (first Seek chase)? My idea is that setting off the clock would cause boulders and rocks to fall, and it could block Rush or Ambush if they are approaching, forcing them to despawn (if this happens any players behind that will be teleported past the blockade via Void). It can also knock any Giggles off of the ceiling, causing them to run away before their legs give out and they just die. I also think that the Alarm Clock should activate faster but for a shorter amount of time when Figure is not active. The clock has a chance to be crushed by a boulder when used, rendering it unusable. Since we’re on the subject of earthquakes causing boulders to fall, I might as well talk about my other idea for floor 2. I think that the random earthquakes should cause boulders to fall, forcing the player to wait for the earthquake to settle to avoid getting crushed by a falling rock (damage varies depending on the size of the rock), and having to move around them or squeeze between them once they settle into place. Maybe the shaft holding up the ceiling can occasionally fall, which would create a new spot you must crawl underneath. Lockers can also be knocked over, instantly killing anyone inside if they fall down face-first. Firedamp leaks or water maze rooms cannot have these earthquakes. Guiding Light messages are as follows: Death #1: “You died to a cave-in.” “The Mines are very unstable. They shift unpredictably and randomly.” “Due to this, some of the rooms will crumble as you are walking through.” “It’s best to wait somewhere while the falling rocks settle into place.” “You’ve made it this far! Keep going!” Death #2: “You died to another cave-in.” “Wait until the cave-in settles in the doorway of the previous room.” “You’ve got this!” I thought that since Rush and Ambush created earthquakes, maybe they could also have this effect. I feel like Rush and Ambush didn’t get sufficient upgrades, which is why I proposed this earthquake idea. Ambush’s earthquake would be significantly weaker than Rush’s and finish a lot quicker since Ambush comes quickly. It also won’t knock over any lockers. I feel like this would make encounters with Rush more exciting. You’d have to wait until the last second to get a hiding spot, and it would make Rush feel more like a renewed threat rather than the same one you’ve seen again and again and again.
Mabye this alarm clock can if you put in a rift will turn into a possessed alarm clock which now it can slow time rewind time and can also speed up time and also mabye the alarm clock can be found in the backdoor this can add more time to the backdoor levers this possessed alarm clock can make hide despawn and dread despawn so you can hide in a closet for a long time and you can be in a room forever
I don't really think Blitz should be the one destroying the alarm clock, though i think michevious light particles will surround it and at some point it will break withtin 10-20 seconds
When you think about it there's no evidence grumbles can hear I mean when you think about it light only attract their attract so they are like the opposite of figure but I may be wrong
Okay what if the clock was able to be throw ir at a entry and then stop them for moving forever, this would work on every entry then figure for some reason. (No, but actually all these ideas just sound like a coding nightmare for a single item that doesn't show up too much in the first place. If your going to buff the clock you don't need to change the clock you need to add things it can do like the gumble idea, but even said yourself way it would be a bad idea)
