So me and the other caddy bunch have a show coming up so a few bits need fixing or replacing, there's a few to get through so let's see how I get on.. #caddy2k #dtetv
Thank you for the video Nathan. Great job as always 👍. The lowering of the second Caddy completely transformed its look for the better 👌. Have a great time at the meet 👍.
Hey Karl sorry for the delay, I enjoy the caddy stuff glad they go down well. Suspension did make a good change in the grey one a Riley was super happy so win win for sure 👍👍
Over the moon with how my bumper is fixed now Nathan, thank you so much for your hard work and attention to detail. Another great video, always a pleasure to watch (just not watching myself back 😂). See you Sunday bud!
No problem at all sir I’m looking forward to it to, so I had to get a new set of rear lights for Sunday as mine had cracks and holes in and TPS done me a set of mk4 ones for £150 should be here tomorrow. Still have a screwdriver for a key thow 🙈
For the hub, if you don't have that hub spreader tool or a chisel, I found a 1/4" extention fits perfectly! Turn it 45° and it'll spread it enough and the hub drops off!
...here in Germany we only see the Caddy as a workhorse. I never thought what could be made of him. Actually a beautiful car. You're doing a fantastic job. Many greetings Michael
Great video as always. When i do my top mounts i fit long bolts from the wheel side through the mounts so you have threads in the bulkhead area, it also means you have a hex head on both sides when it comes to removal time. Shit design from VW those threaded top mounts.
Hi mate, I've watched quite a lot of your videos. The caddy you done the repaired front bumper. And wheelchair liners They were no drop link on the passenger side, just passenger side drop link.
Hey Robert well spotted your the first person to notice that 🤙 I asked the owner why it was missing and he said he keeps snapping them, I didn’t ask any more 🤷
Leaf springs are a bit basic but they work.undertray helps support the plastic at wheel arches ,where it's screwed to although it can be a nuisance to remove for oil changes.good video and a nice caddy community going there
You don’t need to remove the drive shafts or even loosen the drive shaft bolt just leave that alone Only need to remove the 3 bolts on bottom arm The drop link and the top 3 bolts Just did mine yesterday Done quite a few caddy’s now Just a tip for u for next time ❤
Hi bud only thing with not removing the drive shaft bolt is when the hub hangs it pulls hard on the drive shaft seen a few cv boots split to so rather than cause any extra parts I rather just pull it off. Niceone thow bud 👍
Hi, regarding steering wheel, golf mk8 heated wheel. Iv got r ones on my scirocco, you can programme the r button to open exhaust flaps or to control a relay etc, and it also adds cruise to a non cruise van, and the cruise is on the wheel instead of the stalk . If you need more info let me know 👍
Perfect height on arse end , I counted 3 holes up am going to check mine as I have more wheel forward as you stated . Looks good best side has the chap any plans to sort the passenger's side ?
Hi mate love the audi tt chrome console trims don't suppose you know if there any videos on how to install them would be much appreciated cheers barry keep up videos bud awesome
Nice job mate I had trouble with those rear leaf spring hanger nuts found out they are the wrong thread 😬 why they keep supplying the wrong threaded nut is beyond me
Hey bud oh mate these where awful I done one with 2 spanner’s and it was hard work, after buzzing them on and off with the gun a few times they done up a lot nicer 👍
Love them vans, Ive sold my silver motorhome, along with its DTE sticker😢 Have you a shop so i can buy a new sticker for the new camper, it needs the extra bhp 😂❤❤❤❤
Hey bud sorry for the delay I been a busy bee, oh man well that ain’t a bad thing is always good to sell something to make way for something else 🤩, haha you need that 5hp on the new motor for sure. I need to setup a shopify account then I can get them out to my super subscribers 🙏
Hi mate i need some help 🙈 i got a caddy 2.0sdi just converted to 1.9tdi pd105 it runs sweet, its just that the fans stay on i have sorted the plug for the radiator but now its blowing fuses and and not sure were its coming from or what i have to do to put the wiring in any help thanks
Oh man those spare wheel bolts are bad, don’t know if I mentioned a while ago but I welded bits to mine to be able to get it out.. I grease it now and again as you would nit be getting it out at the side of the road in the rain to change a flat 🙈
@@YTDTETV The nut snapped off and bolt and nut was spinning. I welded the nut back on after I drilled and re-tapped it. By any chance do you know if the spare wheel holder comes off ? I want to clean it up and the spare wheel..
@@midnightrider6985 yes it comes off, there’s a metal rod that runs through it, to get the metal rod out there’s a little metal pin that bent up to stop it coming out. Unbend it and slide it out 👍
Great content mate as usual. looking at putting coil overs on mine and flipping the rear axle too , shes a work in progress. would you be interested in doing it for me ?
@@YTDTETV no problem mate , always a good watch, I'm in Milton Keynes but never mind a road trip 🤣 if your up for doing it we will arrange something mate
Hey glen I only saw the light and was showed them a couple of years ago I spent most of my mechanical career beating the crap out of the hub unfortunately.
Hey grant don’t be sorry mate I’m not keen either his brother in law talked him into them, he had a nice set of black 19’s on before it looked loads better 👍
Hi bud would you supply the springs? Or a price for springs on front then axle flip on the rear? I’d fit front springs and axle flip for £200. So that plus the price of the bits.
Hey francis sorry for the delay mate been so busy over the weekend and just catching up now. I appreciate your kindness a lot and it never goes unnoticed or unappreciated so thank you very much. If your ever near me please feel free to pop in a say hello 👍👍 I’ll put the kettle on or something. Thank you again sir 🙏
