Question! I just bought the same light bar for my fj and dont want to use the same on/off switch that RC provides and i want to use the on/off switches that are compatible with the fj's buttons panel. could you share a link as to where you bought yours or explain which is the correct one to buy? thanks!
Yea, but Utah isnt enforcing the front plate. I should put the plate on & shoot a video just to see the difference. Or the plate could be mounted to the lower part of the bumper directly below the light bar.
Cleanest All black FjCruiser I have seen so far. Jeff, how much did it cost you to black out the whole car? And did you do it yourself? I am planning on doing a similar paint job on mines.
What if you cut the inside ends of the bumper and added washers to the bracket to bring it forward a little bit? Would that work? Asking cause I plan to get this but don’t like the recess
Might work but it may also weaken the bracket. I did have one bracket fail. I dont mind the recess and dont feel its really noticeable. With the black protective cover on the light, I never even notice the light. Let me know what you end up doing
Uncle Fjester I’m actually thinking of buying a combo light now and just mounting it to the support bumper since it’s right there. The way these brackets are they would push the light bar up more but it’s 27 inch instead of 30 so I would just cut a hole on the factory plastic grill to make it look flush. What are your thoughts? www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBJITOY/?coliid=IREGTPA6GI8E1&colid=1124WJB9WNUBP&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Not a fan of the combo light. What I REALLY like about the RC bar is with the cover on it, No one knows its there and its protected against road debris. That 52" bar on your roof lights everything up very well. Maybe go with some smaller Pod lights, fog lights on the corner of the bumper?
I Don't think so, Plus, IMHO the mesh would obscure the light output and this comes with a Black Plastic Cover for the light, to protect it from road debris and hide the light.
