I find it interesting what they reversed for the right-hand drive vs left-hand drive. Switch panel and shifters reversed, but climate controls unchanged. Thanks for the video!
Good video. I have some light buttons to install and this told me what I needed to know. Also, I'm in the US and it's so interesting to see how everything is reversed on the RHD models, even the shift gate and the button layout.
Great Video! What wire size are you using? Going to order my parts now so I have and ready to install when the garage isn't 120 degrees. Any cocnerns if you are plugged into the all sources at once drawing too much power?
Very helpful vid in understanding how to get to the dash switch wiring. Use a Scanstrut cable gland for roof penetrations. I'm replacing the OEM rack with a Sherpa Fuji and there is a perfect space next to the forward tower and behind the fairing for the gland. Will be practically invisible from view and waterproof.
A clean way to get roof rack lighting in the KC Lites wire channel, it is a rubber channel that adheres to your windshield along the A Pillar, bends in nicely.
Nice vid. cable through near-enough to a roof rack mount bolt that it can stay inside sealed area/under shroud and out of sight (would deffo sika-flex the hell out of it) then run it through roof rack (like internal bike cable routing) to exit near where you need it. Run 7 core trailer wire so you have multiple options later. Light bars can draw big amps so might need to combine a few of the 7 for the primary light.
You found what's called a "loop" the previous owner was probably a printing press operator. They are used to examine what is called "register," basically a way to look closely to see if your printing press is aligning correctly and producing an acceptable product.
Sorry to say removing your center console to get to your console switches was not necessary all you had to do was remove your 2 sides by music raido and unsnap panel around raido now you can see behind switch panel and reach in to access your wires you will need to unplug the plugs on panel to get hand in i find this much easier and faster to access the wiring for switch panel
The magnifying glass is a thread counter, what the scales marks are for... to count threads per inch in textiles. . It’s in perfect focus when unfolded into a C shape, in contact on the bottom “widow” . It is also used by graphic artists to look at dot patterns etc. in offset lithography, and other art uses.... I have several, and one in my briefcase at all times.
