#criticalrole #c2e129 This is why you don't touch magical books. Clip is taken from Campaign 2, Episode 129: This episode was amazing! Go and check it out ^^
"I point out the red stone on the stained glass window that hasn't changed right?!" "Make a perception check..." "FACKING...MERcer!" "NINETANE!" Is such an energy I identify with
That's what i was thinking lol, If Caleb was there he would be freaking out to get anything. Got surprised that Liam didn't say nothing about the books when Mercer described
Thats the trick tho. A wizard breaking into a wizard library isn't going to look for chains and tripwires. He going to look for wards and sigils. It's genius
Thank you for a great edit. I haven't run a game in over 30 years but there are two moments that remind me of the joys of being a DM. One was TW querying the red gem and getting the response from MM: "Looks pretty much the same as you recall". The other was MR: " I touch the book"; MM: "You touch the book". In both cases, the players were desperate to know more than they could have deduced from their actions, which MM had no intention of giving away. How well I remember that look of frustration :-D I guess that the game hasn't changed that much in 30 years :-)
Thank you for your comment! You sound like you really miss playing the game! :)) Perhaps you should host a quick sesh. Nowadays it is is easy to find enthusiastic people in the internet to play with. The community is growing rapidly which is awesome. I am so happy because now friends don't discuss just video games... they can't stop talking about D&D, fantasy books etc.
Pretty sure part of it's character choice (they all kinda embody their characters when they're really invested in the role play part of the game), and part of it's just having too much nervous energy because stuff like this is intense as hell.
