Scott, you’re playing with fire here and I admire you for giving your honest (unsponsored) opinion. As a fair weather pleasure angler these seemed to be a great option as an ever ready bait. I’ve had mixed experiences with them even on the same venue on different days but when they work, they really do work well. Like you, I always have some with me just in case it’s a Fjuka day!

I knew I'd get burned with this one but I'm here to hopefully save people time and money by passing on what I know or have experienced with brands etc, no matter what video I do I always get negative reactions and it's par for the course especially on here. Glad you liked it and tight lines.
@Scottsalchemy
@Scottsalchemy 2 года назад
Just to clarify my position on why I did the video, firstly I'm not sponsored or have been paid to do this, this bait does cause so much division within the angling community like no other bait out there, people buy a bag then blank then feel the need to slag off the company on their own fjuka groups and pages on FB, that is not cool and why I made the "pathetic in life" comment in the video. If you blank using casters do you slag off the caster ?? It's just not a cool thing to do in my eyes.........

People seem to forget water temperature feeding response if there's any fish in the area and if they are even feeding.You can use the best bait for the money and blank spend 15quid on a bag of boilies catch nothing.No matter what you say or do if people won't listen then they won't learn.

Very fair and measured review. I love someone’s phrase ‘A Fjuka day’. Yes, the reality is baits work well on different days - that’s why we take more than one bait with us. Simple. I would say to everyone - never use tap water; it’s got chlorine in it and the fish know it. Their taste buds are 100’s times more sensitive than ours.

I do a lot of river Barbel fishing and have always mainly used luncheon meat, but the black Fjuka's hair rigged are as lethal a bait than I have ever seen. I use a neon in my matrix methods, and Middy shotgun pellet feeder, fish come in to mop up my 1mm micros and cannot resist the bright bait amons't them. I also have massive success using the white Fjuka's instead of punched bread for chub in the colder months, use mash and squashed white Fjuka's and it is lethal !

good idea, I admit all the online views put me off but I brought some and fed them to my uncle's koi, they ate them straight away, so I carry micros now for when scratching for skimmers they are lot easier to hook than 2mm expander

I tried them all! I am 3 times champion on the big lake I'm fishing. They may be okey for a fun day out of fishing. But for sure not at a match. You can sit next to me and I wish you good luck beating me with normal baits. This is just another sponsored video. David Preston did great things in the past for the match agnler, but this is not one of them.
@Scottsalchemy
@Scottsalchemy 5 месяцев назад
Couple of points in response, it wasn't a sponsored video in anyway shape or form i bought them and tried them and caught fish, end of story. No one ever said they were a "match" bait, and winning some matches on 1 lake doesn't make you a "pro" or a "champion". And to be fair, I wouldn't want to waste my time fishing next to you for some puddle pigs but each to there own.

I've not had good results with 2in1 etc. I find when wet the fish can get the bait without getting hooked.maybe a tiny hook is the answer as getting a piece fjuka like a maggot shape not fixing on hook easily.Im no john Wilson but I did try them.

I swear by these, any fisherman knows blanking can happen at any time, may just not be the day for that particular bate. Its just one of those "fishing life" things. But I will say this fjuka baits caught me my PB along with plenty of other beautiful carp (using the fat boy fjuka bait) I've tried the neon coloured baits and didn't work too great but again that just may have been an unlucky fjuka day, I'm heading down to the bank tomorrow to a spot I like to try them out there. I swear by these

I've always had bites especially with the neeonz, I don't know if this is just time of year or what which makes them work better, but as I said they aren't my first choice bait I only really use them if I'm struggling with other baits etc
@malcrandall1309
@malcrandall1309 2 года назад
I've tried them banded and hooked on the wag for F1's last year without success while 4 mill hard pellet worked. I simply wanted a change bait to keep catching during slower periods. Possibly they are a touch to large for these bonkers F1's when they take the bait with such ferocity.

I’m obviously a rubbish angler and pathetic in life because I’ve not even had a bite on them and yet on pellet, maggots and worm etc caught 60 or 70lb… Shame we can’t get an angler like Andy May or Jamie Hughes showing us how to use them in fishomania… Anyway I’ll not be buying any again as the waters I fish these don’t work….

They don't work on some near me but on others they do.....can't really comment on the match fishing scene but I know some have had success in matches using them, not sure I'd be that confident using them in matches.
@clayburton2315
@clayburton2315 2 года назад
The comment responses you’re making massively contradict the video and calling anybody who dislikes them ‘bad anglers’ just makes you sound ridiculous. Fjuka baits are tosh, period. People don’t slam genuinely good products, this is proven with the hundreds of good products we already have in tackle shops produced by brands such as SENSAS, Sonubaits, Dynmaite baits ect. Things don’t get a bad rap for no reason, They get bad reviews because they’re a bad product. Like everybody else who’s tried them, I’ll continue buying good quality bait and watch these phase out. Because they’re no good.

@@Scottsalchemy What about critical reviews on amazon, Ebay ,Google, and other fishing forums?
@Scottsalchemy
@Scottsalchemy 2 года назад
Critical reviews are expected from any brand/company but what isn't cool is just logging on to a FB group slagging the company off without anything to back up the moan etc. If you've used them and blanked then just say that, it happens, but openly saying it's all a load of **** and a con etc in that closed community is just not helpful or needed. That's just my opinion and no offence is meant but i think as a community anglers tend to be decent people, we just need to give criticism in a way that helps everyone.
@stevewilliams5428
@stevewilliams5428 2 года назад
@@Scottsalchemy You seem to have a problem with people being critical on FB but not elsewhere. I seldom take any notice of recommendations or criticism when it comes to fishing anyway. Fjuka seems all about money to me. All their vids are extended adverts dressed as instruction. If thinking they are no better than normal baits makes me a bad angler in some minds sobeit. You cant use their feed pellets at the overwhelming majority of venues, but they urge people to but them all. The additives and dyes are very expensive as well compared to most other manufacturers. I've never seen anybody win one of our matches on them when they are allowed. Designed to catch anglers as well as fish IMO. No thanks, don't need them, I do great without them and save my money. Every bait can catch on it's day, but bait fish are used to works best IMO.

@@bigdav47 I'd not though of fishery only pellets to be fair, I know a few add sensate powder to them and have caught well, but like you say every bait has it's day. Fjuka was always over hyped as a miracle bait and most people fell for it and bought some, then caught nothing lol. It's like anything in fishing, it depends how, when and where you use them. I've had session where i've not had a bite on them and other days where i've caught non stop.

@@Scottsalchemy To be fair, I jumped on the marukyu jpz pellets train by accident when i won a load of free ones in an angling times comp, frankly they never worked when i tried them, and after years having them i finally dumped them so i could use the jars fot my own soft hookers.....on ebay jpz pellets sell for a ton....but i found them to be shite lol. I'm wary about gimmicky stuff. But i do like pro expanders done the Des Shipp way as shown in a vid of his marinaded in a bait booster additive for weeks...they are great and way cheaper. Look up that vid, they really work.
