ride the dragon, meta angel, honda, papi bone, tears in the club, careless, jealousy, oh my love, lightbeamers. I’m loving the new sound from FKA Twigs. I’m a huge fan of her too.
i love this mixtape! although it’s her most accessible project, twigs still managed to put her own flavor and twist into it especially in the collaborations. all the features sound unique on their own and twigs was able to match the featured artist’ energy beautifully!
Ok the connections you made throughout the mixtape about religious themes, Twigs using her mystique to cover up her insecurity/finding confidence in it and her femininity and then all the callbacks to previous records. Also, CARELESS BUT IN A POSITIVE CONTEXT?..the safe word lyric makes so much more sense now. Bruh my mind is blown! Great analysis. 👏👏
I feel this mixtape is dividing up some fans when it comes to her Alt music style as she's doing something here that's more mainstream. I personally enjoy this and my tops are: TITC w The Weeknd Oh My Love Lightbeamers Papi Bones Jealousy
I think people who supposedly don't like her more contemporary style are people who treat her like a static commodity who isn't allowed to change for her own sake. They want her to remain the underground UK artist that made LP1 and never evolve beyond that.
@@marcusjones6098 yeah I hate when ppl act like artist aren’t allowed to switch up their style & go into other music categories. She clearly is still keep her uniqueness, because it sound “mainstream “ yet doesn’t at the same time
i love this mixtape. it's something very refreshing for the new year!!!! my top 5: OH MY LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (probably one of the best songs ive ever heard) ride the dragon papi bones tears in the club honda
18:09 Eric, I think you’re onto something. I agree I think twigs wants her flowers and is making her sound more acceptable to be able to teeth them flowers
Hi Eric. Happy new year to you. Hope you're doing ok. Would you be able to react to Dawn FM by the Weeknd? If not, can you at least let me know what you think about the album? Please and thank you very much.
Hi Tyler! I sadly won't be able to react to Dawn FM, but I really like it! I think I might still enjoy After Hours a bit more, but I really like the radio framing device and transitions between songs. The first handful of tracks are my favorites at the moment. :)
