Great tips. We are heading on a cruise and one of the stops is Flam. We have bought tickets for the railway train. We wanted to do another activities. Between a cruise to Naeroyfjord and Stegastein viewpoint, which would you recommend? We were afraid we won't have enough time for the Naerofjord cruise, but we can try to make it happen.
The cruise ship pass the entrance to Nærøyfjorden on its way to Flåm (in both directions) and the landscape here looks much like t same you face on your way in and out of the Aurlandsfjord. Stegastein has great views of the fjord and the landscape, but there is nothing other than the viewpoint bridge here. (No shops or kiosk here - so visit the local bakery in Flåm to bring food if you need). Prices soon become outdated. This video was made some years ago, so to keep the video relevant, we do not mention prices. The best way to get updated 2024 prices is to visit Norway’s Best - the company responsivle for most of the attractions in Flåm: www.norwaysbest.com/?_gl=1*d8wh1*_up*MQ..&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIno7xy96yhQMV-QqiAx2JDQ5zEAAYASAAEgLUdfD_BwE
You get much more for a dollar or euro now, compared to a few years ago, but the prices are still high. Most people think it is expensive, but for instance the chinese tourists buy expensive watches and designer clothes because it is 20-30 % lower in Norway than in China. Or it used to be, who knows now ?
extremly expensive as a norwegian i was shocked by prices. 260 euros for 1 night at hotel. 6 euros for a cup of coffee, but there is a local store there you can buy food unless you wanna go restaurant, 25 euros per person without drinks. there is a local viking pub for the tourists, last time i was there it was 10 euros for a pint, its ok but i think its more expensive now. so i warned you extremly expensive and only for the rich tourists.
