These are the sort of shortcuts that will speed up your workflow when you're in time critical situations. We all only have so much time in a day - using shortcuts and tips like this will save some of that time and frustration :)

One day image line will fix the mixer, so this menu (which is noticed in every video) will be moved to the left side as default

Hey Michael! Two tips based on a recent ticket I submitted to support: 1. Fruity send isn't behaving well with latency inducing plugins subsequently in the fx chain (try adding maximus below it). Basically when you mute the source track, unless it's the same track selected, all audio to the linked track stops. It's believed to be something going awry in the PDC system. 2. Having latency inducing plugins on the CURRENT track creates clicks and pops when clicking between different tracks. I had an instance of Stereo Tool by Flux on there to check phase for whichever track I was on but had to take it off. As usual, great video!! my setup is pretty much identical to yours except I use wide alt. Those keyboard shortcuts for Edison and soloing are clutch, thanks again.

Omg I just spent all day trying to figure out the mixer routing on FL Studio after reinstalling it for the first time in 10 years, and this is the ONLY video I can find which actually quickly explains the most essential simple things about how to use the bloody thing!!! Wow Michael thanks a lot! I needed that alt+S alot! Everytime for my bus I had to go back and select all other tracks which are routed to the bus in order to solo that bus only! This helps a lot. Thank you

Love this dude! Content is great and well spoken and explained! So here some stuff that you can add to that, 1. On the mixer window, Right click on any channel you want it to be the send/bus, and hit D,R it’ll move that track to the right side of the mixer window to make it a send/bus! 2. to automate anything, right click on any fader, knob and click A it’ll draw the automation for you (Simply right click then A) 3. The automation can be pretty annoying sometimes, so once you have an automation clip somewhere on the track, use those hot keys (C,P,D) if you click on the dot where you shape you automation and click (C) it’ll copy it, (D) delete that dot, (P) paste the dot you copied! 4. One the project window, if you right click on any track and then hit (U) it’ll take that track up, if you right click with (D) it’ll take it down ( I use this a lot to move my tracks up and down quickly to save more time) 5. On the project window, if you right click on any track and hit (G) it’ll group it with the track above ( pretty useful for grouping tracks on the project window!) I can re-explain anything in case i didn’t make sense haha I have more to give but that’s all I can remember for now! Goodnight

The one you have showed in a very old video about how to colour and name all the mixertracks according to what you have loaded in the channel rack is one I found extremely helpful, but forget about it EVERY time :D I go search for that damn video whenever I create a new project! XD

My favorite shortcut right now is in the piano roll. If you highlight a section of the roll using the top scroll bar (click and drag to select a portion of the pattern) and then press CTRL + Delete, it will delete the highlighted notes AND delete the gap moving all notes to the right to meet the ones on the left. I spent so much time manually selecting everything to close gaps knowing there must be a better way, and here it is.

A general tip: I would recommend to remember the key shortcuts in all windows, as every function in every menu you select, has an underlined letter, which you can press to quickly trigger the action, for example in the pattern menu: Q for quick rendering, C for cloning etc.

Hey mike I’m a huge fan of your channel! Love your videos and this is another great one but just thought I’d let you and everyone else know there’s an easier way to solo your bus channel. Instead of putting on the fruity send plugin you can just unlink the original mixer track from the master channel. This lets the dry signal run only through the bus channel instead of the master too and allows you to hear the reverb, delay, etc in solo that way too. I never knew about the way you showed in the video so I’ll have to try it but just thought I’d let you know! Have a great day thank you for another great video :)

I've been using FL Studio for 10 years now, and I've just learned something. I thought I knew everything about this DAW but I didn't know about the Alt+Right Click, and the Fruity Send. I've always thought Fruity Send was an old useless plugin like PanOmatic and Fruity Balance.. I use Fruity Balance for Volume Automation though, so that another useful tip I guess :) Awesome content, keep it up!

Great tutorial! In my template I have an Edison loaded on the current track so that I don’t need loads of Edisons cluttering up my project, and to record anything I can just select the track and hit record :)

Hi Michael; another great vid - thanks. One thing that I'd also add about resetting the mixer track(s) is that not only does it not reset the sidechains, it also leaves the recording inputs too. One to watch out for when recording external audio into the mixer.
