Hi guys...will FL's Chord Progression tool will get more feature updates in the future? Similar to scaler...like where you can pick genres and various cadences etc?
Won't say it's a life saver but it certainly is a time saver. And to see there's people who criticized this feature it's just nuts. Thank you FL Studio!
This chord progression tool in FL Studio is amazing! The way it streamlines the creative process is a game-changer. I can already imagine the incredible tracks I could produce using it. This tool truly makes music creation so much more accessible and fun
I love this so much. And, for those complaining, tools like this have existed forever now (I'm talking decades) they just weren't known like the tools we have today.
we don’t care where you are and when you will buy FL studio.. This is like saying im from Germany and I am going to eat a kebab when my diarrhea calms down
5600x cpu and b550 motherboard 32gb ram. I used this setup for years. Relatively cheap nowadays. Or buy a second hand work station/server pc. Often overlooked and go cheaper than expected. Best of luck for your future. 👍🏻
32gb ram???? i was making music on fl with a intel i3 and 4gb of ram, it was annoying to bounce everything but it created ideas, even a 100$ pc should work
@@stefevr fair point it's better to bounce. If you think that's alot, you don't want to know what I'm rocking now lmao. Tbf I'm teaching someone the ropes at the moment. He was stunned that I use about 70 tracks in the mixer to one song sometimes. That takes alot of memory even when you're grouping and using bus channels and fx busses. You pc grows as you grow as a producer.
I probably won't be using this tool, but if you want to make it great for beginners, I think it would help a lot to display the chord roots as scale degrees, not just pitches. That way, people who use the tool a lot would be learning what works for them and what doesn't much faster than they would with the underlying voice leading concepts obfuscated by note names being different depending on the key. Edit: I just found out this is an option; that's cool. I think it might be better as a default, though. Or show both at once instead of having people choose. Also, some people prefer to leave the accidentals implied when using diatonic chords in a minor scale that are flat relative to the major scale, etc. It depends on whether you're in the "every scale is just weird major" school of thought or think more in terms of modes and consider your chosen scale the starting point. I think enough people analyze things both ways that an option to make accidentals relative to the chosen scale would be nice.
a great addition guys, certainly for a non-professional like me, one thing though, i would very much like to see an option to unpack the generated chords to indidual tracks, thats because i like orchestral music, and you would have to copy each line of notes (bass, root, third and fifth) to an empty track, wich is very tedious to do i dont know if you also have an idea for an exclusive keyswitch lane, a lane specially for keyswitches that dont change when you transpose your event notes, like sound variations in S1 and expression maps in cuase this would make FL studio even more powerful, cheers guys and galls
@@fieryeagle9748 same thing, you have to copy the chords 3 times (violin, viola, cello, bass) select and delete the notes from the chord you do not want, again, tedious
Great tool! Now we need some "guitar vst" in fl studio to make some strumming thing when we haven't got guitar. Piano is always easier to emulate but guitar not.
One thing I've noticed about the tool is that it's suggesting add9 chords an awful lot, and (very common) chord types like 7 and m7 much less often. Since the UI is so similar to Songsmith's I'm guessing it's built on a Hidden Markov Model like Songsmith was; I'd be curious to see details about how it was trained.
this is such a valuable tool. yet I've grown accustomed to doing things manually on the keys that when i try and use this i just end up feeling ..cheesy
I LOVE it. One thing however. We can't change track position when playing the chords. We can only stop or start. Pressing a button to play the chord isn't as good as using the space bar and song position to preview the chord. Update this please?
Please, it's necessary that when opening the progressions tool, I can use the project's play/pause in FL. It's impossible to listen to chords along with the playlist samples; you either hear one or the other.
Can we yet use this feature while playing our song in playlist/arrangement? I need to hear my chord progression with the context! Otherwise i see no point in it.
I'm not sure about this... I like progress and new tools, but this feels different, like it erases the part where you actually discover for yourself what notes fits your original creative intention.. :/
