This is the first time I’ve edited an entire weekend race into one video. Wanted to try it and see what you guys think. Do you prefer a video for each day, or one that has everything?
James has gotta be one of the calmest dudes I've ever seen. Dude blows an engine, crashes into a wall and catches fire then blows the head gaskets on the next car and he's still fired up lmao
When you push the limits as hard as the "Cleetus Crew" does you're gonna break SOMETHING! Their focus on everything is phenomenal! Remember, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Whatever part isn't up to snuff is the part that gets snuffed!
Giving it the Elder's Blessing, I hear that the buff drastically reduces the random change of engine failures, and he also gives it the Detail of Approval, which reduces aerodynamic drag by an amount the Developer left unspecified in the manual I managed to find.
It’s crazy to think that cleeter went from putting whistles inside the exhaust of his corvette 6 years ago to building an empire of bald eagles keep up the spectacular work brother
@@URsooomad8613lol he has worked so hard and so long to build this team and brand. What inheritance? Wasn’t he Iaw school before going into RU-vid full time.
@@URsooomad8613brother it wouldn’t matter if that’s true or not. Garret has worked his ass off building this empire. He has built an a outstanding team of wonderful people. He’s almost gone completely broke twice taking chances to get where he’s at. A lot of people are haters or jealous but at the end of the day… the guy is good at what he does.
While the cars might mean something to you away from the track at the track there just a tool that you have to be prepared to right off every time you strap in if that’s what it takes
That smile on Lil Ripper's face driving Dad's car at 13:38 is just pure joy and excitement !!!! Priceless moment right there!! Congratulations for a great weekend of racing. Longer vids like this are excellent.
Not just that he wet the car on the big end and still managed to stay so calm. I would have 💩 myself having just ran my car to the wall the pass before. Bro has battery acid and red bull running through his veins.
He isn’t in emotional distress because those cars aren’t special to him. He just wants to race and win. So as long as he’s not hurt too bad he’s on to the next race.
@@chevchellios2988James is a racer plane and simple. He realizes while the car might mean something to you away from the track when at the track they’re just a tool that you have to be willing to right off every time you strap in if that’s what it takes
@@joshuagibson2520It's not about money. It never has been with Cletus. It's about racing and having a blast. He don't do it for money, He does it for Dale!!!! Yeee, yeee!!!!
Arguably the best racing in a LONG while. Side-by-side action every race and our boy Mullet doing work on that 275. I personally prefer the whole weekend into a single video. The bits you post on your social media stories kept my anticipation levels high for the video to finally drop. Let's also not forget about Leroy finally coming through during competition and performing the way we all knew he could.
Shows true sportsmanship to let them rebuild their car in your shop only for them to come and beat you in the finals. Hats off to you sir, a true competitor!
Yeah, thought so too until I saw Cleet on someone else’s RU-vid channel and he was dropping f-bombs right along with the hosts. Really glad he chose to keep this channel family friendly.
The positivity is contagious. Opening up their shop, lift and tools to the guys that were ultimately their final competitor. Sportsmanship at its finest 👊🏼 kudos to the whole team for a hell of a knife fight.
The way they helped the other team was class! Helping your competitors stay in it is *always* a non-starter! Nobody who really loves to compete wants to win on a technicality, or a no show. You want to beat the competition with driving skills and bald eagles, fair and square!
What do we think? At first, I was bummed that you weren’t posting daily, as I would catch snippets on other people’s channels, but seeing it all together like this is just awesome. Thanks bud. Happy you guys are all safe and we appreciate all that you and the guys do.
Between Cletus, Emilia, VGG, Junkyard, Demo, Donut, it's about all the 'Tube I have time for. The quality just keeps climbing to the point I've not watched regular TV in years.
The personalities, story telling, race quality, mindset, teamwork, and sheer absolute works of engineering art you all have created is one of the coolest things to see evolve and grow over the years. What an incredible life to live and story to share with us all. Thank you.
The real street guys are professional and focused. They spent all their time and energy on this moment in time. But equally professional are all the FF guys. I mean this group is just working it with all the cars, events, etc. This show was over an hour. It took me like 3 hours to watch it because I kept having to replay it because I didn't want to miss a second of the action. I think big said he edits his own stuff? Well whoever did the post production was spot frickin on.
Even when things didn't go George's way, he still stayed positive and upbeat all night long! Dude is an absolute unit on the team! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GROUP!
@@j.nilsson5362 yeah absolutely. Even when a crash, 2 blown engines, rear gear, and then the Blazer all within like an hour of each other...stayed smiling, joking, and laughing. That's not easy to do when a race weekend of any discipline of racing is going that sideways
Mullet might've lost the finals, but if it weren't for cleet's hospitality and letting them use their shop, they never would've won. Good on you guys. hell of a weekend
Can we appreciate the fact that "Mcfarland Racing" started off more as a joke then anything and they have literally turned themselves into a world class race team.
I totally appreciate it. I believe leroy was the first thing he brought to the dragstrip doing 5th gear burnouts and then he wanted more. I've watched him almost regularly since the turbo whistles on his C7 and something to do with a balloon on his truck
Leroy and mullet are both right on the cusp of being even heavier hitter than ever have been before, the blazer is blazering, jackstand is killing it in every car he drives, all the tuners are getting big with them, papaw Sam is radiating happiness, hell even cooper was making absolute rips this event!
I think the long format is perfect, Cleet doesn’t have to stay up late the day before eliminations editing a video. He can just focus on racing, which is what we’re here for.
Has it occurred to you that he doesn't WANT to do these races? I wouldn't if I was in his shoes. Better to be there getting paid to help out vs helping for free cause he is there to race.
Over an hour long video of the boys racing is freaking epic! I was wondering where this weekends racing content was and now we know. If Cleet prefers uploading racing events like this I’ll gladly accept that. 🍻
I’m loving the long video. No better way to end the day. My girlfriend kept asking why I’m smiling while watching the video… a mix of George’s enthusiasm and intense drag race wins, that’s why. What a good video!
Over an hour of absolutely amazing drag racing with Cletus and the crew!!! This was one of the best videos I’ve seen put together on RU-vid. Thanks to all involved!!!
Our guys managed and ran 5 cars, did the competition do that in the same time avaliable. Incredible. If they put all their efforts into 1 car I wonder what they could achieve.
He'll ya check out the interview he did with vice grip garage on the orielys thing he does on the isle or from the isle I forgot the name I'll try and link it if I remember
The only channel I will watch an entire 1 hr 17 minute video and enjoy every minute of it . Thanks for the solid content cleetus , second place is pretty damn good after the luck you guys had.
Videos like this are the reason I started watching Cleet. Over an hour in and I was still hoping for another hour of intense racing. What a team he has!! Great job this weekend guys!! See you at World Cup.
This video is awesome, and what a display of pure class from the team. Offering up your shop to help make sure someone else can race, and then congratulating them after they beat you in the finals. Just really great attitudes all around. Love to see it. That's what it's all about. Everybody getting out and having fun doing something we all love to do.
Ed must be so damn proud. To think these guys are doing 6.89, as a warm up pass now, is absolutely insane. Props to the team, and everyone involved in building these amazing cars, and all the fans and sponsors paying for these builds 😂
Love the sportsmanship!!! Let the ole boy use your shop, lose to him, and still have the humility to say, "I can be better, so I will be better next time." HELL YEA BROTHER!! Yall showed up and showed out this weekend.
@@kevinsnyder333 Ed was one of Cleetus’ neighbors wayyyy back at the beginning of the channel. The car was bought for Ed as a “hot rod” for him and when he passed, was turned into a tribute to him.
As a dad of a 3 year old boy, seeing the way you interact with Ripp just makes me so happy man, I find myself smiling so hard when you guys are on camera together. Thank you as always, for the best content on the internet 💕
Just wanted to say, my wife and I really enjoyed this format of editing. Really felt like we got the whole weekend experience. It didn't feel rushed, and I'm sure you didn't feel pressured to get a video out while working hard on the cars. Thank you as always boys! Keep doin' it for Dale!
Wife/girl viewer here, reporting in! I loved the hour long video! We got racing excitement, funny banter amongst the boys (my favorite!), reactions to runs, Lil ripper!, fixing cars, behind the scenes fixing competitor cars at the shop, a loud Buenos Dias :), and freedom. Keep at it boys, hell yeah brother, thank you for the awesome racing and entertainment! Yee yee! (can we see more Maddie 😊)
@@FinnellRacingI think he enjoys where he is more, I mean he has family and friends all around, gets to wrench all the time. Actual race teams is a massive amount of travel plus I’m sure ole cleet makes sure his team is very well compensated
Hands down. Favorite channel on RU-vid. Nothing like good friends making the dream happen. Proud of you all. Nothing but blessings and success for all of you!
Man Mr. Sam is such an MVP !!! 77 years young and he's EVERYWHERE !!! Wrenching and polishing in the pits, at the starting line, the guy is a living LEGEND !!! Such an inspiration.
Seeing little ripper sitting on dads lap with that million dollar smile was awesome!!!!! I can see cleet strapping that boy in a jr dragster before you know it! The next generation is what keeps racing alive. Great job guys. The fleet is really looking good and running strong. Lets go.
Was legit looking for this comment, such a wholesome moment, those kids are gonna grow up to be AMAZING PEOPLE, they have an Power couple for parents, both Maddie and Garret are incredible people
Who else is REWATCHING these old great episodes! The whole group is talented and intelligent and HELLA FUN TO WATCH! THANKS for the great entertainment mates!!!!!!!
If you told me maybe 10-15 years ago that you could crack off 220mph on a small tire my next question would have been if you were talking about a full mile. Nuts what you and the team are out here doing. Victor is always such a fun dude to have on the channel too, can tell he's a real one.
Seeing Jackstand crash and Cleetus almost hit the wall is a harsh reminder of the risks in this sport. Would honestly be a hard hit to see someone in the team get injured. Be safe out there boys.
Was at FL2K and saw it all. The fact cleetus and crew compete and record it all with everything that goes on with a long day of racing is insane. Not to mention, being able to still compete against the baddest! Cleet a goat.
I love these hour long full weekend videos. The highs, the lows and everything in between. Highlights are great but it's the little things, like seeing Rip deciding tuning options
I feel like now that Cleet is at a point financially & subscriber wise where he doesn’t have to upload on a schedule or certain day anymore to try to get the algo to push his content, the videos just keep getting better and better. The stuff he has been putting out seems more to me like I’m making this video because I want to and here’s what I want to show you. Instead of we had to come up with this idea and shoot it in this amount of time so the algo pushes us and we keep growing. Keep up the good work brother!
It also helps they have so many vehicles, SXS, Airplanes, FF, RC cars and everything else. Makes it really easy to make content with that many toys/race cars. He was doing basically daily uploads the last month, until this weekend!
@@josiahhein6036 Yeah I don't think Cleetus will ever have trouble finding content. He has to be one the busiest people I've ever seen. He's always got something going on and it usually looks like a lot of fun
That was so much fun man I felt like I was there with you! That is a quality video that you edited and all that energy and power that you guys have as a team came through the video! thank you so much for all that hard work so I can have as much fun as possible with the video! God bless you all!
I haven’t been this proud of Leroy since he ran his first 7. I swear I’m just as excited as if I was in the car driving and I’m just watching a video. So freaking pumped for drag racing season to be back in action. Keep on banging those gears Cleet.
*_🖤These longer format videos!!!_* *_I guarantee Garrett legit gets high off of each and every pass he takes in Mullet.. the pull, and G forces that car is producing has got to be a rush like no freakin' other!!!🔥🔥_*
This channel is SO AWESOME!!! The whole team does an amazing job! So much work goes into this racing! You let the guy who beat you use your shop, what the heck does that say!! I totally appreciate the time you and your crew put into the racing and the time you put into editing an awesome video!!! HELL YEA BROTHER!!! THANK YOU!!!
I love the videos short or long, but I gotta say those Import boys being lighter, running full tube chassis, big tire AND wheelie bars is an insane advantage over you having to run a 275….the idea that you STILL were keeping up with them is mindblowing brother….keep up the great work Cleet!!!!
In a world that is kinda depressing right now, the 1/3 track burnouts in the 10.5 class had me rolling. Brought me back to the days of half track T/F burnouts. What a hoot.
Thank God everyone is ok! Cars are just material and can always be built again better than ever. The driver ain't always that lucky, some times they don't ever make it back to the track. I'm not trying to hate on your comment it's just some thing to think about. Look up Cecil Matthews on here and he's got a couple wrecks in his drag car that's my grandfather's older brother thankfully he walked away from both of those but had one that put him in the hospital for awhile but he was still trying to order parts from the hospital bed lol at over 70 still has no quit in him lol
@@PolarisEricson I, Cleeter is far more valuable than a rocket on wheels. Cleetus def carries a few extra spare of underwear, just in case he shites himself on the fastlane. 🤣
Cleetus and Crew, congratulations! Alot of hard work and man hours went into this weekend, and the editing of this video lol. You guys deserve the praise and acouple cold ones for the endless entertainment the crew provides! Btw loved the long format FL2K weekend edit. Made it more enjoyable to watch all of the weekends' clips back to back and get the whole story!
Literally grabbed my phone and logged in just to say, Brother that 240 race was the BEST race I have seen in a long time. What a feeling! Great job boys!
I still can't get over Sam, who by any outward assessment, would be a big old school muscle guy. Yet he has a supra that is showroom fresh that he loves. This man is a treasure and should be protected at all times.
he's both an old school import and muscle car guy. was driving toyota's in the late 70's and owned a couple different supra's as well if i remember correctly.
Great run, and excellent longer form video. HUGE props to the Starlet driver for being a badass, and driving as well as he did. Congrats to the crew for keeping things going!
i know you're probably questioning how much is too much or too little with little ripper content. honestly, i think you're nailing it. love seeing little snippets of him LOVING the race life. keep up the good work!
Honestly @CleetusM, how you communicate and interact with your crew/staff/mates, it's inspiring. Although you are running a business here, you don't only treat it as that. Your crew and friends are all still with you because of who you are. When there has been accidents or problems, your first instinct is to check everyone is OK. Not only that, if there is some process that can be changed to improve safety, you don't hesitate to act. The confirmation for me in this episode, was when you had your son in the driver's seat of mullet with you. The way you interact with him just shows who you are. Keep up the good content and don't be afraid to visit Australia more haha.
You guys do such an amazing job bringing this experience to all of us here at RU-vid. I’ve never been so hyped, watching a group of guys battle it out at a drag race. Hell ya brothers!!!!
What ever is easier for you Cleet! We all know on a weekend like this you’re busy enough as it is, I usually like the more daily ish vids but you did this one up so good. It was cool to see the event all in one video . Thanks for taking us along . Making us feel like we’re one of your guys. Great work by the whole crew .
That’s says a lot for you guys being stand up and letting the competition use your facilities to make a repair. What goes around comes around no good deed goes unnoticed for sure good on y’all for that and being stand up folks
People may talk trash on Garret but he is a dang good driver and has created an amazing team. I’ve been watching this team grow from his days at 1320. Keep up the good work buddy🤘🏻 roll tide
@@kevinmenard6792I think it’s more targeted at the “hype” around the channel, more than the guys on the channel.I’ve never heard anyone have a real reason why they hate lol. Mostly just trolls in livestreams like raceweek/sickweek when everyone asks “has cleet run yet”. That’s where people get annoyed I suppose.
Dude, Brett’s car just works, love seeing a Coyote doing what it does but if mullet could have kept the tires planted he was moving towards a 6.30 also. Killer video, loved having all the content in one video!
@@uraniumcranium2613did you miss the part where Cleetus had all kinds of stipulations on his car. Cleetus was limited to a smaller tire and no wheelie bar. No a coyote is not going to beat a Steve morris SMX on level playing field.
@@kyledoll7482 the Coyote was forced to run by the same exact rules as Cleetus. It's just the import cars that were allowed to have big tires and wheelie bars.
@@kyledoll7482 I love the SMX and Mullet as much as everyone else but to say something like you just did is simply silly. On a level playing field? It’s a 300 cid engine with a cast block, there’s nothing level about comparing the two period. The playing field itself was level, they were both following the exact same ruleset. And I’m pretty sure even with the big tires Cleetus has never been as quick or as fast as the coyote went on that last pass? Sure he can and will get there but right now the coyote beat the SMX.
Honestly I like both video formats, whichever is easier for you to edit, I can only imagine how hectic this race weekends are. Also shout out to Pete for the insane tunes while not even at the track, the man is real good at doin stuff
The build of this channel since Leroy was first purchased is nothing short of incredible. Amazing work from you, your family, friends and team. Inspiring. From a long time watcher in the deep south of Melbourne Australia.
This might be one of the best videos ever uploaded on this channel! I’ve been watching since the turbo whistles in the c7 and the growth and mentality of the TEAM is insane and this video shows it from all angles with everyone working together and loving life. This team really is something special! These videos bring life to guys that used to race and guys that have never been fortunate enough to do it. Even sitting here watching I feel the team pride!
I really liked this long format! It's nice to watch only content pertaining to our team, not being mixed in with a bunch of other team's runs. I'm here strictly for McFarland content, and could care less about the other teams. Great weekend, Guys! There is NO DOUBT why all of us fans support this team!
I had a rough day. An hour of racing, seeing Cleet cheesing with his son, B-roll of James and Coop being bros, Leroy being a savage, and just feeling the energy. That made my day.
