A Macedonian or hoplite phalanx? Cause pikes are Macedonian and that formation was deeper than it was wider, so if it was four ranks deep it would only be like 1 man wide if we're keeping the proportions right. We could do 4 ranks deep with a traditional phalanx, though, and have it be 16 men wide (as hoplite formations were 4x wider than they were deep). But if you want a Macedonian phalanx, then it can just be reversed: 4 men wide and 16 ranks deep. Also i agree, I want more phalanx videos :3

@@hoidailou I would argue that Holpites woukd make make a Macedonian phalanx look less accurace, but I get what you're saying. It would make the formation more tanky, which would be more accurate- or should I say, totally accurate ;)
