This looks delicious! I’ve made something similar, just with a white cake, that I poked holes in, and poured (SLOWLY!) cherry & blue raspberry jello over, and decorated with strawberries and blueberries!

I have been watching cooking channels recently and your channel popped up on my recommended view. WOW, first I started by viewing the tater tot and meatloaf, followed by this 4th of July recipe and on and on ... Yes, I have subbed but more importantly you cook the way I like to cook. You have such a variety of recipes to follow. This 70 year old grandma from new England thanks you. My plan is to try the very first recipe I read with the tater tots and meatloaf. I'll keep you posted. It will be a few days for the oppressive heat to stop. Can you believe it, we've had at least five days in June with over 90 degrees!! I think we've broken some records. Along with cold snowy winters, wish we could catch a break with moderate weather. I know other areas are worse.

Catherine, what a cute idea for the 4th of July! Slicing the cookies first is a great tip! Not sure we will be celebrating on Sunday, there is a tropical depression off the coast that we have to prepare for. Will definitely make this! Your daughter is really cute!

I just made and ate a piece of this and it was so good. It is fun to make and easy. It's a keeper. Thanks for another great recipe. My husband said "you can sell that"! I asked him his favorite part and he said "the cookie". I added a little white icing to my cool whip and piped in the stripes. Happy almost 4th of July.

That looks yummy and festive! BTW, I had a dream about Catherine and her husband last night. My son and I were invited over for dinner, and Catherine was making what appeared to be tacos. I think I had that dream because the very last thing I watched before falling asleep was an old Catherine's Plates video. Thank goodness I didn't fall asleep after watching a scary video!
