I did Flagpole in my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe stock three days after I bought it. I did the trail in all electric. I had the crap factory tires, and if poured rain all day! I had no problems. I was with my Jeep club. It was great!
Oh yeah! You bought a new jeep and ran a trail with your jeep club. Let me guess, they held your hand down the entire trail, did they applaud every time they showed you the easy line and you made it through? So proud.
Flag pole proper can almost be done is a prius if you come from reddish knob. The way from Switzer lake could scare somebody who's never been off road before but locked in low range easy peasy. Coming from union springs is harder and takes some experience, though could be done in a stock jeep if you just don't care 😉
nice video ! planning to go there ..i will do a brutal test on my 2017 crv LX got some toyo opat3 tires on it im sure there is an easy trail to choose ...right..?
Hey, I actually started at (38.500091, -79.207855) made my way through the trail on 85A. After that the road separates into 2 paths. You can go down 85 First service RD or 227. I chose 227 which was lots of fun on my stock jeep. I will definitely be going back in my lifted jeep with 35s!
@@ThatGuyMitch1 Thank you, greatly appreciated. I was out there with my newish Power Wagon a few weeks back. Did the Staunton VA to Bradey Pond to Reddish Knob to Flag Pole Knob to Lake Switzer. Solo run. Without people to go with, I am trying to cautious and plan a safe trip and be easy on the truck (avoid dents and pin stripes). So much larger in size over a Jeep. Had a great time with the drive and camping.
