This video is from our time living in Arizona and our channel was known as "Arizona Dreamz". We have since moved to the Midwest . New state, new channel name! We no longer make AZ content, but focus on family vlogs of our life in Michigan.

You didn't hit the east side or south side. I'm always moving between flagstaff/Williams and phoenix. I've been back in phoenix 4 months now after 2 years up there. Its nice up there but expensive and fairly boring after hiking and 4 wheeling get old. Winters can be brutally cold. Phoenix is cheaper but hectic and very hot in the summer. Prescott is nice but also cold. Prescott valley is in the best spot, not to hot, not to cold. That's the area to relocate too.

Pretty cool such a different environment is only 2 hrs or so from the Valley. Flagstaff appears to have a chill vibe by the video. It seems like a good get away place.

One of the things I like about Arizona is the ability to change your weather and scenery in just 2-3 hours. And it's definitely mellower in Flagstaff which is a nice change of pace from the Phoenix Valley.

You're right. It's getting dicey to film in that neck of the woods because you never know when those heavy storms will hit sometimes.

When i was truck driver i drove thru Flagstaff HWY 40 had load from Tracy CA to Harrisburg PA made stop on rest area just outside the city.Rest area surrounded with Pine trees on top of mtn. cut off my engine let the windows down and i remember that fresh air breeze mixed with pine trees smell,vent to sleep and i think that is the best sleep i ever had in my life. Told my self i m going to come over see this city again bring my family with me. Flagstaff AZ 👍👍👍

Hi! Have you planned on going to Prescott & Prescott Valley? I'm seriously debating that area due to its cooler climate and AUTUMN "season." Fall/Autumn is my fave time of year and I'm desperately trying to find a place in AZ that has a bit of it, without being too far from civilization lol 😊 thanks for all your hard work and vids!

I have recently visited there and did some filming. I should have those videos out in a week or two! The whole family really enjoyed hanging out in Prescott, despite getting caught up in some rains during our visit (which you will see in one of the videos)

Arizona Dreamz looking forward to seeing them! I watched someone else's video on it and what I took from it was: don't ever mention we're originally from California, and we'll be living in a shack, and there are no jobs 😢😢

I think you'll find that Prescott housing costs will be more expensive while the job opportunities will not be as fruitful as you would find in a major city. The salaries will typically be lower as well. I'm sure there are higher paying / higher level jobs, but a lot of the jobs are in the service / or tourism category. Not sure why you aren't supposed to mention California!

Arizona Dreamz I’m a former Californian who relocated to Colorado 8 years ago and the stereotypical thing said out here is that the influx of Californians moving to the state are ruining Colorado (cost of living has gone up, and so has traffic). I’m guessing that’s why she said that.

They manage the Forests in Az. Controlled burns to eliminate out of control fires. I am building a Timber Frame with my own hands near Williams Az. (30 miles west of Flagstaff.) I will be using a Japanese technique of torching the surface of the exterior siding (Shou Sugi Ban) especially around ground level. This does three things...1) fire resistance 2) Insect resistance 3) Solar damage . The one thing that causes a house to burn down is having combustibles near the siding and on wooden decks. Having a metal roof is also critical. Forget the Insurance Companies. They won't protect your home. They just replace it AFTER its burned to the ground! Stop living in fear and live life to the fullest.............Self Reliance is the key. I'd rather live in the Forest than die in a City.
