Thank you for trusting your dream guitar build to me Chas. I think that together we came up with something really great and it’s wonderful to work with someone that’s happy to take the time to work through all the options and choices with me. I can’t wait for you to play it either, not long now!
Fabulous Gio. Your reimagined series are killer. The twisted teles,we’re they the p’ups you used on, was it your first ggbo build? If so, they were superb sounding. As always, aesthetically it’s beautifully balanced. I like to think you’re all careful and methodical for the video then like the rest of us mere mortals when the cameras off 😂 after seeing both you and Todd use it to great effect, I tried hard wax/microcrystalline on my current build for both the body (although I didn’t grain fill) and neck and absolutely love the result.
@@fatpotanga Thanks Jamie, I really appreciate that. Yes the twisted Tele set are the ones I’ve used on both GGBO builds from a couple of years ago, the neck pickup is very strat like which sounds great! And yes feel free to assume I’m only relaxed on camera if you like! 😂😂 I’m glad you liked the hardwax, that finish really is a great way to bring out the beauty in most woods and the microcrystalline brings out a really nice shine!👍
Apologies @chascrawford I appear to have had a special moment and inadvertently replied under you instead of posting a new comment. Ps, you lucky son of a gun, that guitars a beauty
Oh my brother. What a killer guitar. I absolutely love the entire thing. Thank you for the shout out and I'm proud that you used a top I sent you for this build!! Awesome as always my friend!!✌️🤍
Man, that flamed walnut looks killer!!! I can't wait to see that figure pop under the finish. Your precision and artistry is incredible on your builds, brother!!!
That's yet another stunning guitar, I love how effortless you make the build look like it's a well honed process you have muscle memory for at this point. The simplicity and elegance of the instrument speaks for itself. Looking forward to seeing it assembled with finish and going from an A, to an A+ build!
My father always told me jealously is pointless and a waste of energy. But I truly am envious of the owner of that guitar 🎸. Absolutely love the top. Stunning 😎💪🏼
What a killer top, Gio, looks fantastic. And love the ebony fretboard and the way it really makes the sound hole pop as well! Looking forward to the next video
Wow Todd really hooked you up with that top set. You would think with an all walnut build it would look much darker. The different species blend well together I think. The binding adds a distinct line that say look at these changes and enhances the differences. this is gonna be a smoking look for a reimagined build for sure. Can't wait for the play demo. Maybe you could even talk the customer into doing a short one as well once they get their new baby.
Bill, firstly I thought you were going to murder me in the comments for forgetting my colour settings on the reveal part! So thanks for letting me off!😂 secondly thanks once again for a kind comment and yes I’d love it if he did a sound demo too, we will see.
@@TornelliGuitars Your a friend and have been for a while.. no murdering.. poking with a stick or whacking with a fence post is NOT off the table just yet though! 🤣 As long as I can see the finished product all is good mate. even if ya don't Ill still support you.
Hi Edd, I’m really sorry. Haven’t seen any emails that I haven’t replied to. I check every day. Please contact me again or via Instagram. I’ve just checked again and I have no emails there. I sincerely apologise, my direct email address is in my profile if you’d like to get in contact.
Wow! Already love the woods even without the finish. Again a great looking guitar made with a lot of care and attention. Can't wait to hear her sounds!
The top on this is one of the nicest ive seen, but i am a sucker for flamed maple! (good find Todd). Another great looking guitar though, i love the sound hole design on all of your guitars, really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!
Beautiful work as usual Gio, that top is insane! I have a load of black walnut i want to use for the back and sides in a future hollow guitar build, should be interesting.
Great Job, I love the design and materials, you are also so efficient with your builds. I’ve spent months on my first guitar build and that’s just rectifying all my mistakes. Lol!
Thanks Peter, that really kind. The biggest jump you’ll see in proficiency is from your first to second guitar and then it’s just confidence through repetition. And spending a long time to get your first build right is a great way to do it ! 👍
It's funny, when I saw the design, I didn't think I would like it much, but once you started doing your thing, it really came to life. Beautiful work, I don't even care for "woody" guitars one way or the other but you consistently push that aesthetic in such a positive way, I hope one day to own one of your instruments! What's the going price on kidneys nowadays? :)
😂 you may be surprised! They’re not cheap but I do try to make them for a non eye-watering price! 😂 Sounds like I may be bringing you round to my nerdy ways of appreciating beautiful wood! I hope I get to build you something at some point 😉👍
@@TornelliGuitars Actually, I think your prices are really reasonable compared to other luthiers out there, and you're not making the same old Strat/Les Paul/Tele copies. That and also the amount of input from the buyer, well, that seals the deal for me. Also, I am obsessed with binding LOL I'm broke right now, because I'm an actual musician, hee hee, but one day, sir! Also, I've got a set of original Micro-Frets pickups that just need to be placed on the appropriate guitar!
How do you do it?? Every process you do, it's done with such care and attention. Your end results are always fantastic. I try to follow your ways and methods, and I never succeed. But, I won't give up. I'll keep at til I get just a bit of your talent. Keep posting your videos. They are much needed.
Robin that’s so kind, I really appreciate it. If you ever need help with anything just reach out, I’m happy to have a chat and talk through a specific process if needs be. I love talking luthiery and appreciate your support!👍
Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. I think my problem is patience!! I need to take things more slowly, be more accurate, and learn to stop when things aren't going so well. I'm near completion of a Telecaster Esquire I've been building over the last couple of months, so when it's finished, I would love to send several photos to you for your opinion and advice. This would be very much appreciated. Once again, thank you!!
