Items are cool but I'm mostly watching these for the VO reveals. Preening Duelist was fun to write. I'm loving the performance! 😂

One minor thing I find very interesting: the burn effect here is mechanically the same as the poison effect in Slay the Spire, and yet because of the different mechanics of the two games, "burn" makes much more sense in this context, thematically. In Slay the Spire, you apply a whole bunch of poison, you take your turn which takes a whole bunch of time, the enemies take theirs which also takes some time, and somewhere in-between they are hit by the poison damage ONCE. Which makes the poison effect feel like it acts slowly, with a whole bunch of time in between each tick. Hence "poison" is thematically appropriate. In this game, the burn effect, even though mechanically it's the same, from a pacing standpoint it ticks twice every second. As such, it makes it feel much faster and urgent and flashy and "in your face", which makes "burn" a much better keyword for this mechanic than "poison". I feel like a lot of game designers would get this wrong. You see a cool mechanic somewhere and go "huh, my game should have something like this". And it absolutely should, an important aspect of making good games is drawing inspiration from other good games. But then the developer doesn't give a second thought about how they could adjust it to fit their own game better thematically. I know it's a very minor detail, but it's this kind of attention to detail that makes me excited about games :)

This looks really polished, the art is fantastic, and the voice acting is on point. Can't wait for a soundtrack.

Wait, the same items increase damage on weapons and burn in flamethrower? How do you even balance that? Ain't applying burn much better than doing damage? If an item that increases damage for X is good enough to be played on a weapon, when applied to a flamethrower will be totally OP. If it's not OP as a burn stacker, than will be trash as damage increase, no? I am missing something?
