Flaming torch 

When along the coast and inland valleys of Southern CA, it’s actually not hot enough for many Ocotillos to grow. They barely put on an inch or two of growth each year.
To the rescue!: The Baja Ocotillo- we named it Ocotillo Flaming Torch- is accustomed to a cooler climate already- it thrives, has brilliant red flowers, and grows abundantly in any of those locales, yet is also good in hot inland deserts as well- from Las Vegas to Palm Springs. Typical Ocotillo growth, except a little bit bushier habit. Can be pruned for a more upright, traditional look. Hardy to teens. Full sun; up to 8’ tall and 4-6’ wide.
