Hello there!, Yes it turns on automatically when you plug in. I dont see any harm about that? Because I have other single pedals like boss without on and off switch like boss, digitech, ibanez, wampler etc. I am not a genius on circuits but I do think the factory inputs some circuit to prevent such power flactuate? In terms of sound, it brighten s the preamps as well as the DIST, OD, etc.

DAW (Logic Pro x10) to Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 plugged in my Flamma Cab Sim then my boss katana brown channel as my preamp as my OD then my output guitar Corona modern Plus T!

@@dwinpanlaqui Thanks for your reply! I also have a Boss Katana. I tried to plug the Cab sim directly to the amp, but the tones are awful! I also tried connecting my Block Rocker speaker to the amp, but no luck. I get a Blend of tones from amp and speaker. Perhaps I’m connecting it wrong. That’s all I have. I don’t have a DAW. Can you help me out with the connections? Last night, I tried plugging my board, including Cab to the Block Rocker (no amp). I was amazed with the tones. I just had to tweak the Éq on my distortion pedal (Flamma Preamp). The sound is not perfect. I’m interested in getting an FrFr 112 Headrush speaker. Let me know what you think.

I guess you need an frfr, I do also need that! LOL 😆. Speaking connecting or your signal path, starting on your interface to the cab sim, the cab sim must be connected on the line in (at the back of your amp) not on the input, then your guitar must be on the input if you want to use you amp as a preamp. But I think you should learn how to use DAW. Im not good at recording , I just express my own way of playing as well as my basic knowledge in terms po recording.
