Bu buy and never sell...flare is my first asset that I'm holding for life....and under 1 cent it was the greatest buy ever...I'm so greatful for the opportunity omg
I stake FLR in my Bifrost wallet. I generate about 900 FLR a month not including the Flaredrops. I generate about 11,000 FLR a month in Flaredrops. This is based on a 2500 CAD initial investment at 0.0161 USD. I trade in the FLR/XRP pairing, this way I can accumulate XRP. Bifrost is great because epoch periods only last 3 1/2 days before rewards are attained. There are roughly 8.5 epochs per month .
Good stuff Matthew. For us non ledger guys we have to wait I suppose. Hopefully Bifrost will be able to get in the game at some point. Good times & still working on DCA... Don't know about you guys, but I'm currently @ .012 - Good news is that, that number will continue to go down as we keep stacking and collecting the drops. Come on November 12th!
30% of inflationary validator rewards have been moved to staking rewards. The actual staking rewards received is dependent on the total amount of FLR staked. The more staked, the lower the rewards. If 30% of FLR is staked, then the rewards would be identical to delegating to a validator. If more than 30% is staked, then the rewards would be less. If less than 30% is staked, then the rewards would be greater. Right now, I expect the staking rewards are much greater, especially since only users of Ledger can stake.
Hello folks, I am hoping for a little guidance on staking. I watched the video and I understand a ledger is needed and the minimum 50,000 flare plus a little flr for gas. My question is around the first 30 seconds of the instruction video and avalanche on ledger. I have all my flr on bifrost, so do I transfer say 50000 flare to the avalanche address on ledger x in order to start right? Or should I be bridging to AVAX? It was not super clear in the video that one needed to transfer their flr to the avalanche app or am I reading into this incorrectly. I have a ledger I have the avalanche app but I have all my flr on bifrost so just curious on this step. Any help much appreciated.
No! You just send Flr to your Eth address on ledger. While using the network to stake the avalanche just needs to be open on your ledger. I’ve completed this today fairly easy
Hello Matthew, I've recently staked FLR for the first time. Is staking significantly more profitable than delegating, and does the potential reward justify the risk? Would you consider staking a clear choice over delegating?
Hi Matthew, would you be happy do a video on how to choose to whom to delegate/stake on Bifrost? I made the mistake of staking to an oversubscribed validator (I think). I'm not sure about those which are close to, or even above, 2.5% vote power but have no exclamation mark next to them on Flaremetrics: ... whether, and if so, at what point, I might be at risk delegating to them. Best, Chris
@DeFiDivvy makes sense. I've been asking Flare on Twitter with no answers. I even understand if it is expensive to get listed. They're listed on Coinbase, and that's what made me start to wonder. I figured that the project had been involved with Ripple with the snapshot, so they are legitimate.
Thanks for the vid. Questions: Do the 50k flr that are staked still receive the monthly airdrops? Do the flr tokens staked "leave" the safety of the ledger device? Are the staking rewards superior to the delegations rewards?
Hi, did you manage to find out if staking is more superior to delegating. I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. I’m currently delegating WFLR on Bifrost with a 6% reward rate. I got in early when it was 20%. The Flare Phase 2 sounds interesting but unsure about the reward %
Yeah you earn rewards every epoch on top of what you delegated. There's no standard rate or lock up. So you'll have to calculate the rate you're getting. I haven't checked mine in a while.
"Ledger is just fine" Is pretty much what I said in the video. My preference is open source. "What's. more secure, open or closed:" is a debate that's been going on for decades. We won't solve it in this thread. I prefer open, you do you and rock on with that ledger. I am sure it will be fine.
@@stratosartis agreed. It's very distracting when FLR team puts out shit communication and does not answer basic fundamental questions then cops an attitude.
Flare Networks will not even accept my emails. Talk about major communication problems!! At the time of the snapshot my brother and I both had over 60,000 xrp. We received 1 small airdrop that we wrapped and delegated in May,2023. We have never received another airdrop. Can anybody help me solve this problem or have any suggestions.
I think FN did a huge mistake to start with Ledger that does not even support directly FLR! This staking option is so complicated even long time Ledger users and FLR initial airdrop owners cannot use!:( Bifrost must have been the best solution to start with since it is simple and user friendly!
People do not use LINUX OS Because they Feel Safer Using Mac or windows. They feel opensource Operating Systems are less secure lol...But with a hardware wallet open source is more secure? So I guess Mac OS and Windows OS is better as clised source. This Logic to me is backwards There is Nothing wrong with protecting your code for security reasons. If anything some opensource leaves gaps for Hackers to analyze the code and Hack it because its open to anyone...Just my 2 Sats
