The transition when you introduce a new topic with the ice cracking is one of my favorite transitions in all of series videos and RU-vid videos in general. It’s just one way where these videos feel like they’re produced by a full professional team rather than one person!
All-Star sweater looking good. Also, I'm not a big Canucks fan but liking the detail that's even going in the Fanatics version. I may have to pick up an Adidas one.
It's weird the Canucks skate blade jersey is a clear downgrade. Maybe the texture adds something to the final product, but as is, it looks like when youth leagues try to copy NHL teams
My first thought on the modified flying skate logo was that it reminded me of the 1985-89 uniform, though on that version the space around the "CANUCKS" lettering was filled in with their yellow, while the new one fills that area with black. I have to say, though, I like the black verison better than the yellow or white versions, as the letters pop just so much more off the black background than they do off of the white or yellow.
Sometimes I feel like the only person that absolutely hates the flying skate Canucks logo and that color scheme, it seems like most of their fans love it.
I'm so glad the All Star jerseys aren't going to have all the division names on the front like I thought they would. So I presume there will only be one jersey for each conference?
They probably feel like it's a sort of reverse retro by giving the Skate era a two-tone look like the original Blue Stick-in-Rink jersey that didn't have (much) white (and current third). That was their worst look IMO, which was fixed when they added white later. This new one seems just as flawed without the whites to me as well.
I’m an 86 baby. The all star jerseys worn in nyc,bos and sj are my childhood. I love and very surprised the nhl went in this direction. Can’t wait to see the home versions.
I loved the original jerseys these are derived from. I posted on other platforms and channels here probably a year ago that I really wanted these jerseys to return someday in some manner. Little did I know, my wish would be granted just a short time later.
The other day I saw a video by BW hockey that showed the coyotes had a hat leaked with the new script logo. He wasn’t sure if the script logo will be the main logo but the T in coyotes was the cactus
Based on the artwork in my previous video... looks like white gloves with the black jersey and black gloves with the white jersey. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z1Ir0SqhQZg.html
Skate jersey looks naked without the white to make it pop. Not a fan of the simplified design trend we've seen the last few years. Disappointed in the redesign of my favorite jersey. management can't even get this right...
Never liked the spaghetti skate logo. Never liked the Canucks in black, red, and yellow. I miss the old third. I loved that blue/green hockey stick uniform.
@@fantasticvoyage262 Always!! Been a Ducks fan since the late 90s. The old uniforms had identity. The current ones are boring. Don't understand why ownership won't listen to the fans, most of us wish they'd bring back the old logo full time
I hope the Canucks' flying skate doesn't become their official third and keeps that spot in the jersey rotation where they wear it one or two nights a year. I always loved the idea of a special retro night, like the Blues have been doing too with their mid-90's design lately, because while it brings back nostalgia and makes those great designs easier to find and purchase, it leaves room for teams to innovate with a third jersey with a new design. The one trend I am getting a but tired of is every team basically going full retro for their third or even their main jerseys. Reverse Retro aside, most teams in the Adidas era haven't brought in a single new jersey idea or a single new logo.
100 % agree. Just like the stick-in-rink 'C' logo, they couldn't resist updating & making it worse (the original proportions were cleaner). On the skate jersey, the whites made everything pop so nicely. This updated striping & lack of collar colours seems quite bland in comparison. I see what they are doing... matching the blandness of the OG blue/greens, but it's a miss for me. SI'm sad because the skate era is my fave look. Van City's uniform legacy is such a mess though. So many good pieces, but too many colour schemes fracturing the identity and dividing generations of the fanbase. I've always felt that flying your team colours is the most important thing that should never change, so both old fans and new can cheer as one even if they have different eras on their back.
@@fantasticvoyage262 Many people already have the jerseys with the white. Now, if they want to complete their Canucks jersey collection, they'll have to buy this one too.
I like that white All Star uniform, if they made a black and a pink and a blue version that’d be awesome. As a Canucks fan, I don’t mind the skate uniform being a 3rd, I just don’t want them to go back to it full time. I’d rather their RR become their permanent uniform and then have Abbotsford get a new logo.
@@stroshow5 I don’t mind the Orca, I just don’t like how it started. I have thought that Johnny Canuck should have always been their logo from the start. Glad to have that uniform now. I just want them to keep the Blue and Green cause I think it represents BC well.
Totally agree. The Orca should only have ever been a shoulder patch, not a primary. Toss that up top, and give us a Johnny jersey, and stop messing with it. Then put Johnny on the shoulder of the black skate jersey as a third.
@@stroshow5 The original one (the version that’s on the RR) is less cartoonish than the modernized one. It’s hard to have a perfect logo for such a broad name.
