Daz so underrated. Same with Quik. people don't understand how young Daz was when he was popping classic beats. Daz was a genius. So underrated, it's unfair.
Daz produced some of the best songs on AEOM... Ambitionz Az a Ridah, Got My Mind Mad Up, 2 of Amerkiaz Most Wanted, I Ain't Mad At Cha etc. Daz made hits he's a criminally underrated producer.
@@Mustbedacheese Low key this some “Your Idol becomes arrival” type shit. Dr Dre taught Daz how to mix and to use the piano and drum machine. Then Daz started mixing and producing on Doggystyle and over time became the head producer at death row all while Dr Dre was getting ready to leave. I heard a story that could be fake idk but it goes like this. Dre, 2pac and Suge was in Studio and Dre played “Got my Mind Made Up” and told Pac he did the beat later Pac found out Daz did the beat that and Dr Dre not doing much on his album is what started the whole Pac/Dr Dre mini beef
Eminem production on Pac's Life was straight trash. His beats really only fit him. Tupac does not sound good on modern beats, he needs original 90s production to sound right posthumously.
WWETV - WorldWide Entertainment TV wow. You guys really know alot about the music industry. You guys should get hired by a multi-million dollar company
Willie Maeket i agree. His beats to dark, to match Tupac’s energy. Renegade is em’s best beat ever. The rest are good. After the Marshall mathers cd. He fell off.
Fuck a West Coast classic--it's a hip hop/rap classic period. Kurupt was top 5 in the game at that time period. And I'm talking about he was on the level of the Wu, Outkast, Redman, Mobb Deep, Jeru, Canibus, Scarface or whoever.
I don't think Daz fully yet realises how fucking excellent his Dogg food album is ....was....is...whatever you call it. The beats....the melodies....the bass....the lyrics....him and kurrupelt went HARD on the all the duets. Both of em lapped each other with so much precision.....it reminds me of the outlawz when they had kastro and edi/napoleon/Kadafi/Noble doing their verses together .....I'm saying bro it's 2024 now but Dogg food album, daz and kurrupt's solo album gets pumped in my car pretty much every week.....bass up on a now a modest after market pioneer stereo with the 15" sub woofer in the boot. Daz u need to make another dogg food album. Get with that old 90s vibe. U a producer and a master with the piano and guitar beats. Don't try to play me homie? Man that guitar beat had friends who ain't never heard of u get into your shit. Respect Daz and Kurrupt. R.i.p Pac', Nate, and Jewell . Somebody make Death Row great again. Somebody need to free Suge too. Let's not forget about sweaty head cus that dude was the Lord of Hip Hop when it came to running the music industry. Whether you liked how Suge ran things or not....that cat got shit done.
"I got my mind and up" is one of the nicest records to hear in Hip-hop . The beat ,the artist the whole production in my opinion is a masterpiece to be studied By any Hip-Hop scholar... It's a classic to be an American treasure.
*How do you consider an album that was distributed by Interscope, Priority, and Death Row as an "Independent" release Vlad? You have a record label (Death Row) and a major distributor (Interscope/Priority). So by your logic, Eminem's albums were independent too. You have a record label (Aftermath) and a major distributor (Interscope). So I guess Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lil Wayne's albums are independent too? Because you have a record label (Cash Money) and a major distributor (Universal). Dogg Food album was Not an independent release you crackhead.*
Makaveli-Dillinger one of the best underground albums of al time. Look it up and download that shit, play in your car and learn some game. Point blank.
when pac got shot the first time in 1994 everybody knows he checked himself immediately from the hospital cuz he didn't trust them but u know why ? assata shakur got shot once and she told the family they were putting thier fingers in the bullet holes okey let's fast forward to the 1996 shoting suge knight said that pac was conscious when he got shot and to his way to the hospital and even in the hospital a lot of people saw pac in the hospital bad said that he was trying to tell them somthing by shaking bad well how about that he was trying to tell u get me out of here i'm not safe just like he said ''' I can't breathe, something's evil in my IV ‘Cause everytime I breathe I think they killin' me''' from only god can judge me song
So what you're trying to say? If Pac didnt go to the hospital after the shooting in Vegas he would have died within minutes after he got shot. Even his bodyguard said if the ambulance werent at the scene as quick as they were Pac would have died right there.
not a lie, when pac came, he had all the studio sessions, rappers from all over cali came to the studio bcz of pac, his album sold million copies more than snoops on deathrow, snoops was definetly jealous
Ambitionz az rida sem dúvida e umas músicas que tem base mas bem trabalhada de todos os tempos , quando descobri que foi o Daz o produtor passei a admirado sem dúvida.
of course tupac was serious. there is this old video of him doggin Death Row for being lazy but he knew he HAD something to say and he had little time left! Thank god for his work ethic! we have so many junts now because of that.
Daz didn't mention the Revenge Retaliation Get Back album that came out "during his reign" at Death Row. I would've like to hear Vlad ask him about that album because it was standard death row quality but wasn't pushed well and undersold.
Vlad, if you’re going to interview about Pac 24/7 at least keep up with what these dudes are saying. Daz said he got Pac the biggest check for Life’s So Hard and how they didn’t even use it until Gridlock’d and you didn’t pick up on that shit at all. You just generally talked about Murder Was The Case. You got dope visuals but get on your job, man.
Did anyone else get the vibe Daz was trying to tell Vlad Suge had something to do with Pac getting killed cuz Pac fucked Michel'le? When Vlad asked about the rumors That Suge had Pac killed, he didnt say no. Instead he said if you find out shes fucking you, what you supposed to do. That seems to me that he was trying to tell Vlad yes without actually saying yes. He was insinuating that Suge did have something to do with it. I know people say that if Suge was behind it he wouldnt have put his self in danger like that. No prolly not if it was a regular gangbanger, but what if its a trained, expert marksman that dont miss? What if the feds had something serious on Suge, that would get him life and came at him with a deal to make it go away? What if the feds came up with a plan to kill Pac and had Suge make sure, he didnt have his vest on, disarm his body guards, dont let no one in the car with them, not drive off until the shooting was over, and drive away from the hospital to increase his chances of dying? Theres a lot of circumstances that were out of the norm that came in to play that night that were crucial in making this a successful hit. It takes professionals to execute a hit in the middle of the Vegas strip on a fight night and disappear into the desert night. Anyone else would have been found as theres not that many ways out of the city that they would have put road blocks on or had cops on the side of the road waiting for the car to pass. I always thought the feds were behind this and made it look like it was some gangbang shit.
Damn I wonder what Snoop would've sounded like on the OG Ambitions As A Ridah? People forget that pre-murder case Snoop was so lethal and unique in his flow, style, subject matter and delivery. Dude was like a g-funk version of Slick Rick mixed with Richard Pryor, Ice Cube and Rudy Ray Moore. Snoop, the Dogg Pound and Pac on the same label was like having Biggie, Mobb Deep and Nas both on Bad Boy back then. Death Row was truly the biggest and baddest label of all-time briefly.
Man what I liked about pac was that he was a rapper that like prophesied his death and like cause of the things that he was going through and had so many good albums songs I mean not all his songs I like but his music was real and he did good movies like above the rim and juice
Crazy how they made argubly 3 best rap songs in few hours. Ambition as a rider, 2 of americas most wanted, I ain't mad at you. All in one day. Dre takes a decade tomake one album 😅
