When I watched the first episode, I missed all the hints that something was wrong. This anime has the best plot twist out all the anime I seen so far, I thought it was a cute school girl anime then you find out it is the fking Zombie Apocalypse
That's what I believed since I only watched the Episode 1 OP back in 2015(?) I forgot when I first watched its OP. Then in 2018, I was surprised that it was involved in the Top Scary Anime in Amino
13:15 Attention to the blackboard I enjoyed studying with everyone. Let's study together. But it done not come all true at all. All is in the darkness in the past. Please don't throw me away. Help me
episode 1 of this series is definitely one that you have to watch twice. there are so many hints that something is wrong throughout the episode but you just can't quite pick up on it until the end. like why are they living in school? why is a dog allowed to roam free without anyone doing anything? why do none of the other girls go to class? you caught one, that weird breeze that keeps blowing even though the windows are closed. why do students suddenly appear out of nowhere and why does no one else acknowledge them until yuki does? why does Mii-kun keep entering classes without a single care in the world? why is everyone so worried about yuki despite school being one of the safest places in the world? why are sections of the school blocked off? why did Rii-san show a particularly worried/serious face when yuki mentioned almost accidentally going home? there's that weird message on the chalkboard in red that completely gives it away but who's actually gonna stop and read it the first time watching. there was also a moment when they showed the broken windows but it was easily missed. there's so many small hints throughout to make you feel in the back of your mind that something isn't right, but it's not enough for you to piece the final piece of the puzzle together until the end and that's why i love it.
Reaction starts at 4:03! Welcome to my new series: Flashback Fridays where I react to an older anime series that I've never seen before! The current series is Gakkou Gurashi, which has been recommended to me by The Druken Otaku, CandyMcFluffy_, and JeTi! Seriously...wtf did you make me watch...
Glad you liked it, it can be tough to convince others to watch a CGDCT anime without giving away the twist. Horrible taste? Never! The 4 shows you are reacting to this season are in my top 10 airing. This season is totally stacked for me.
Ramen Reviews Actually, the reaction we've all been waiting for starts at 24:35... And it's just like everyone else's.. That's why this is my favorite anime.. The reactions alone make it worth showing to others..
Part made me question was the girl with the shovel. Was like hmm that shovel too big for their little garden. Then the blockade of desks made me go hmm! Saw the broken window but I went to school with broken windows before so that didn’t set off any alarms til the end
I had already read the series synopsis before watching, and rewatching the first episode knowing what's going on adds a new layer of entertainment, looking for subtle details hinting at reality, knowing why Yuki's friends get so worried about her, and knowing the actual purpose of the various objects and customs they have.
The manga is really good and really goes into farther details the anime doesn't on some areas and continues after the anime ends so it's definitely worth the read and it gets even more fucked up psychologically from here. I hope this show gets a season 2 sometime because the show did really well and the manga is selling quite nice. Plus there's more than enough source material for there to be a 2nd season.
I wonder if they'll even be able to make a season 2. Season 1 has already deviated quite a bit from the manga, especially by skipping a certain arc (which has enormous implications later down the road).
@@_u0nda928 watch the anime first, then when u finish it, read the manga from scratch The manga goes far into the horror and deep lore but it doesn't have these amazing plottwists of the anime The anime is more beginner friendly for that The manga continues from the anime in chapter 30 but if u start from there u'll feel lost, cuz as I said, it has some big differences So if for some reason u still didn't do it, now is the time.
When I watched the 1st episode I was confused on why there were tables blocking the way at 15:39 and why Mii-kun always walked into classroom like it's no big deal and why everyone was ignoring Megu-nee *And after I watched the whole anime I understood why.*
That was my reaction too when I know that Yuki had a really strong imagination. But her friends tried to take care of her by pretending everything still fine.
If you even notice, Megu-nee was acting like she didn't even exist while Yuki wasn't in the club's room, beside at 21:38 Megu-nee appeared to be standing on the right of the door and at 22:22 she somehow seemed to be standing on the left of the door, she just teleported there, the first episode was a big twist after all...
Before I'll watch your reaction to the episode I just have to say I'm really glad that people recommended this to you and also that you went in as blind as you could. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy your reaction to this episode. :) I'm still amazed how little attention I paid to any of the subtle hints that were displayed through the episode. Edit: Your reaction to the moment when the perspective was shifted from one point of view to another was absolutely great. The way how it was done in the episode was so great that I'm not even surprised it can confuse for a few seconds. "What just happened?" seems a normal reaction to something like that.
yknow i just start laughing from the start because of his reaction enjoying this anime... when he realise it's just an illusion, i start clapping my hand...
I kept laughing when you would say "I wish I had that mentality" XD and this is the first time I've re-watched it all and (spoiler, if this is all you've seen stop reading! lawl) I never caught Megu-nee saying "I'm a casualty" like holy fuck you're not wrong!! sheesh.
Whenever I suggest this anime and the person wants to know what it's about, I always say, "just watch the first episode." This it the one series that I know of where any mention is a spoiler and I tend to not discuss this anime until after the person watches the first episode.
Damn. I read all the manga before watching the anime. Looking at the cover and summary, I already knew what was coming. But DAMN that still hit me hard.
i watched the first two episodes and didnt have the guts to watch the third at the time. technically spoiler after the second episode it kinda dies down and isnt really horror anymore or i guess you would say thriller but still excellent
I remember reading the synopsis and halfway through ep 1 i was like "where tf are the zombies i guess im watching the wrong anime" yet i still continued anD THEN THE ENDING WAS JUST WOW
This kind of reminds me of Asobi Asobase. This might be a spoiler.... so if u dont want it dont read it. Asobi Asobase while it may seem like a very cute and funny anime, the background story is actually similar to this. Not as dark as this but still def dark. Olivia and her brother were really fucked up and if u paid attention to the anime, u will see some hints here and there.
I knew that the anime got dark because I wanted some.dark anime to watch and it fucked me up, after the first episode I knew it was going to get dark I just didn't expect that to happen then I was almost in tears then I went to the next episode;; xD But I am going to show this to my older sister :D and I will be away crying now but I was like, wait a minute whenever I noticed some cracked windows then it went away and I put what might of happened to her together and almost started sobbing now I have N anime to finish and sobs
Ooh. This is a fantastically well executed series. Hope you enjoy it. By the way, if you want a good moe SoL then I'd have to recommend both seasons of K-On! assuming you haven't already seen it.
Ramen Reviews It's a pretty old anime (20 years old) called Digimon adventure. It's the first season for the monster collecting franchise of the same name. Without spoiling anything it's an anime with a great story and lots of emotion (although I will admit it had a very low budget so the visuals and animation might not be the best). It also had a pretty terrible dub in my opinion so if you were to react to it I'd suggest watching the sub. [Did I sell it well? lol]
I actually saw it as a kid believe it or not lol! I remember it quite well since it was part of a few animes that I watched back then where I didn't know what anime was at the time. That along with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were my jam back then! Unfortunately since I've technically already had seen a majority of it, I'd rather not react to it since I want to do primarily completely blind reactions. Great suggestion though!
It's called Oban star racers. A racing anime that's also a collaboration of a french - Japanese - American companies. Although it only had like 25 episodes that's all it needed to tell it's amazingly bittersweet story.
Yep. I predicted it too since I added just the slightest traces of audio. I'll be re-uploading it again at another site since I can't edit the audio out.
yep we totally have the same reaction and in the first vid i find all the hints theres a crack on the window while there running in the hallway and blood on the wall of chairs
This show will make anyone scream.... YOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I had to rewatch it just to ask myself "where did it go wrong" (i meant what gave it away to go from "cute" to "dark"). also the one thing they really fcked up is making the dog too cute...
That's literally me in the 2016 saying it's a cute anime and after seeing that i said wtf I thought it was a kid show but actually it's a horror anime and the main character has mental trauma and the purple haired teacher is actually dead a.k.a turned into a zombie in ep 10 and ep11 kurumi got bitten and in ep 12 the found a cure to stop the zombie enfection But cannot save people that almost has rotten body or missing limbs and in ep12 that the zombie has still a bit of risudual memory of its past that's why when yuki say in the speaker please go home the school is over every zombie left but kei came back as a zombie to go school Instead of leaving the school because she love school with her friends
