Wrong. 7.12 billion. The equipment belong to the Afghan army we were training who just gave it to the Taliban. It was enough to prevent Russia or another country from invading them without the Afghan govt putting up a fight. Sure the US govt doesn't like the Taliban having the weapons but at they are armed enough so Russia or another US adversary can't take over the country. Like Iran, Russia or Pakistan. Untold Americans? Less than 100 Americans and most of them were Afghan Americans who chose to stay.

The withdrawal was a catastrophe, and then we had to hear what a success it was. Biden checking his watch as our fallen returned home was shameful. And the Gold Star father who yelled out at the State of the Union address and was then arrested and removed…heartbreaking. I’m still pissed about that too. @@Flash3-22 - The USA was covertly supplying weapons to Osama Bin Laden's Mujahadeen guerilla army against Russia through out most of the 1980s. Routing weapons/equipement through various countries to hide US involvement. @davidbowers1797 is right, proper planning would have allowed the weapons/equipment to be moved to other Nato countries to be used later. And USA intelligence knew about the massive number of Russian troops amassing along the Ukraine border. Lets not forget that Obama allowed Russia to take the Crimea part of Ukraine on his and then VP Biden's watch.
